Ford oil change minder reset procedure

This is way too funny had to bring it over from "the boards" 

new oil reset procedure,. sit in vehicle, turn ign to on position, count to 10. when oil light starts to flash, exit vech and put right arm into the air, now rotate arm in counter clockwise direction and slowly bend left knee to raise foot aprox. 4.5 inches off the ground, after 25 seconds return to drivers seat and then procede to push the headlamp switch at the same time you are buckleing the right rear seat belt. after connection is made, open hood of vech, remove engine oil dipstick and verify the oil on indicator is at the full position, if it is on the full mark oil light is now reset. if not add engine oil to bring it to the full mark then restart entire procedure to reset light.

That must the revised procedure. You used to have to hop around the vehicle clockwise after raising your left foot.

sounds like GM, I always hate resetting those things

If they made it easy to reset the change oil minder people would just clear the message and never change the oil. Also if it was easy how would we know a speedy did the last quickie lube

Maybe they should make so the reset cleared only after the oil plug is tighten properly or the correct oil is installed
