Just wanted to give an update, finally got the guy to give the ok for tear down. Pulled the front cover and found a pin hole leak in the front cover near the anti drain check ball passage that feeds the high pressure oil pump reservoir.

Well, ended up running truck hard to get it noce and hot. Pulled valve covers and put 12 volts to ipr and cranked. Number 8 was dumping big time out of oil exhaust port. Replaced injector and all is well.

Well it needs high pressure fuel system. Pulled return line off of the left rail and its full of metal. Its odd that nothing showed up on
the pcv or vcv. I'm wondering if this is going to be the case with the cp4 pumps. Truck has extensive maintenance record, all ford
filters its whole life and didn't find any evidence of contamination or rust. I did read somewhere that the cp4 is not as reliable as the cp3.
Who knows. Thanks for everybody helpin out
