Ended up being the radiator side tanks...Replaced assy and sent customer on the way.

F450 pickup with no modifications at all. Truck had 2300 or so miles on it but most of that was from Georgia to Oklahoma. Intially looked as though the EGR cooler connection was loose but not the case the whole underside of the hood was moist and a gallon low on coolant.

I have read a couple of threads on various boards that the 6.4 is puking through the degas bottle. Well we have our first one in for it. Anyone else run into this yet?

It always tickles me when I read something like this...Is there such a law and if there is how can I not get so many parts for just a few yr old vehicles? Ditto it was only the clamp but it was tight and would not tighten any further so we replaced it with a new clamp and shipped it. And yes Jay we have a couple of real studs at 2 of our stores that have each gotten multi hundred truck orders to an oil field company here and a lumber company.

We just got one in yesterday that coolant is leaking pretty good around the lower EGR cooler. 1234 miles and is in a lumber company fleet. We have 5 stores and have delivered over 1500 now and this is the third one to come to any of our stores. MUCH better ratio than the launch of the 6.0no IMO

Ok I will bite since they changed PTS around and I use it very little where are the SSM and what not listed now?

Now it seems everyone is willing to "talk" a little more about what the hell is happening. More than likely this is not 100% accurate but I will pass it along here and see if anyone else is hearing the same. Just talked with a few people I know between Ford, Blue Diamond and Navistar and it seems as though these are the first 2 of possible 12-14 various programs that are on the way with almost all of them being Customer Satisfaction Programs. Neither EGR or Head Gasket will be confirmed nor denied I just get a "It will all be annouced soon" answer. Anyone else heard any more?

I can't find a kit persay but the pieces you need are 5C3Z-13D730-AAA BANK OF 4 SWITCHES 5C3Z-14A303-AA HARNESS and there is a little cubby piece that I don't have the # at my finger tips that you may or may not need depending on if it has the brake controller or not. Here is a link to the kit we sell it has all 3 #\'s listed in it I still can't find any bulletins or releases on where Ford is offering a kit.

I for the life of me can not come up with a part # for one. I decided to look at the online 04 F250 Svc Manual at FMC to see what they looked like. Well the left side shows to be a 2 piece gasket while the right shows to be a one piece?? What gives do they use gaskets and are they actually different on either side? Please save me from opening a head set to see what they actually look like

The way I understand it isn't going to be a recall. If the vehicle exhibits the symptoms of a several different concerns then it will be taken care of but there is no intention of a full-out recall unless the government forces Ford to do so. Whatever it is they are doing there are VERY FEW people at Ford that will actually talk in specific terms about since there are "Focus groups" all over the country working to determine exactly what all needs to be addressed. Hell our PSD tech is in a focus group that meets at the Indy plant every other week and even he want tell me exactly what they are discussing because he is afraid it will get him booted from the group. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/shrug.gif

Yes your correct GM rebadges the Isuzu but so did Navistar up until a few years ago. Your porbably right that it isn't built on that chasiss but it sure looks like one to me. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/shrug.gif
