For the guys that have removed cabs on a 6.0 truck, can you tell us the required steps for doing it? And any tips? Thanks.

I believe that damaged ground shields can cause various drivability issues especially with 6.0 Econolines. The Econolines have the sensor circuits, alternator power circuits and injector circuits in 1 loom and are prime for rfi. The F-series trucks have the injector and sensor circuits in seperate looms and are less likely to have this problem. I've seen several Econolines with no starts, with a "cam fault" pid. Just touch the harness and it fires right up. If you cut the harness open, you will see squashed wires and broken ground shields.

There used to be a article with pics on 2003 to 2007 super duty cab removals on dts before, but i can't find it now. I never have done it before but I need to do it in the next few weeks. Maybe someone can post the procedure or give me some tips on what to do Thanks Bill

Just to continue with the tires, I had a inner 19.5 tire blow on me while i was airing it up on the truck. If this tire was on the outer position and the outer side wall blew, i'm sure that it would have seriously injured or even killed me. Just before the tire blew, i started to hear the steel sidewall belts snap, i heard about 4 snaps and then the big bang. Lessons learned: use a minimum of 10 feet or air hose to fill, listen for any tell tale snapping of the sidewall steel belts, never repair a tire that has run low on air. You lifes worth more than a tire, be carefull..

I will never cut 4 rotors with the procut. If I need to cut 4 rotors, I will cut 2 with the procut and 2 on the bench lathe. If I cut 4 rotors, the truck won't stop properly for at least 3 or 4 days until the rough machining marks get smoothened out.
