Some 2015 Model Year F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with 6.7L Diesel engines may exhibit a Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) on with DTC(s) P220F, P2A01, P207F, P2209, P06EA, P06EB, P229E, P229F, P225A or P246F stored in Powertrain Control Module(PCM) memory. If normal PC/ED diagnostics leads to the replacement of a NOx Sensor or NOx Module, replace both the NOx Sensor and corresponding NOx Module as an assembly without disconnecting the NOx module from the NOx sensor. Do not discard the old parts as engineering is currently reviewing NOx sensors and modules for root cause analysis. Monitor OASIS for future updates. NOTE: The upstream NOx sensor/module is NOx_11 and the downstream NOx sensor/module is NOx_12.

Jan 29 2015 5953-2015 Transit - 3.2L Duratorq-TDCi - Hard Start/No Start/Rough Run/Lack Of Power/Malfunction Indicator Light - Fuel Gelling In Colder Ambient Temperatures

Some 2015 Transit vehicles equipped with a 3.2L Duratorq-TDCi engine may exhibit a no start, hard starting, lack of power and/or a running rough condition due to diesel fuel gelling in cold ambient temperatures. Please note that bio-diesel blend fuels have a higher occurrence of fuel gelling and should not be used at any rating above B20 (20%). If no root cause is determined after normal PC/ED diagnostics, recommend that the customer use a different fuel that has been seasonally adjusted for the ambient temperature. Customers may also benefit from using Motorcraft Anti-Gel and Performance Improver, PM-23-A (US), PM-23- B (Canada). Refer to the vehicles owner guide for additional details.

Jan 16 2015 5896-Multiple Vehicles - Integrated Diagnostic System (IDS) Historical Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Viewer Enhancement

IDS release Version 93 includes a new Self-Test content feature to view historical PCM Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) on certain 2013 and later model year vehicles. This tool allows viewing DTCs and snapshot data for conditions which occur too infrequently to be recognized as Continuous Memory DTCs. These DTCs may be useful when diagnosing intermittent concerns and/or an intermittent Wrench/Malfunction Indicator Light(MIL). Historical DTCs are only viewable when no other CMDTCs are present. When historical DTCs are available, a yellow engine icon will appear on the right side bar of the DTC Help screen of the IDS which can be clicked on to view historical DTCs. A Job Aid with additional detailed information can be found on the PTS website under Service Tips – New Model Info category.

Jan 15 2015 5885-2015 Transit - Color Instrument Cluster Backlight Stays On After Vehicle is Shut Off

Some 2015 Transit vehicles built with a high level color instrument panel cluster (IPC) can have the cluster backlight remain illuminated for up to 10 minutes after the ignition has been turned off. This is normal operation and differs from the operation of the low and mid-level monochromatic IPCs available on Transit, which turn off almost immediately after the vehicle is shut off. Locking the doors with the key fob will cause the cluster backlight to go off immediately forall cluster levels

2013-2015 F-Super Duty vehicles with One Touch auto up / down power windows mayexhibit erratic operation with possibility of a different window(s) being inoperative after each key cycle. Check for possible aftermarket equipment added to the accessory delay circuits of the Body Control Module (BCM). Splicing into the accessory delay circuits can cause voltage to drop, when the ignition key is turned on resulting in power window motor(s) to be inoperative for a key cycle. Refer to Warranty and policy manual for Aftermarket accessories policies. If no aftermarket accessories are present and/or a functional operation is suspect, referto workshop manual section (WSM) 501-11 for diagnostics and repairs.

SSM 45031 - 2014-2015 F-Super Duty - 6.7L Diesel Engine - Not Rated For Fuel Economy By EPA- Do Not Attempt Repair

2014-2015 F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with a 6.7L diesel engine are not rated by the EPA for fuel economy. This is noted on the window Monroney sticker. To diagnose fuel economy concerns, follow the appropriate symptom chart located in the PC/ED manual as reported by the customer. Remind the customer that fuel economy is affected by many things including: fuel quality, winter blend fuel, ambient temperature, frequent stops, idle time (one hour at idle is equal to 25 milesof driving), trailer towing, speed, accessories that produce drag, non-standardtires, tire pressure, heavy loads, and abrupt acceleration. 6.7L engines can also see an effect in fuel economy depending on the frequency of the diesel particulate filter regeneration.

These DTC's typically set due to a loose, missing, modified or damaged ground G400. Duringvehicle modifications G400 may be relocated by the body builders/outfitters from it's original location. Inspect G400 to make sure it is present, properly secured, clean and that the bolt head has not broken off prior to performing normaldiagnostics. G400 should be located on a main frame rail and not on a cross-member or welded extension. Repairs performed due to vehicle modifications are not covered under normal vehicle manufacturers warranty.
