when I first read about the new oil spec FA-4, they said outright it was not backwards compatible. Thought I read that this new FA-4 spec was for new engines 2017+ only.... the CK oil was backwards compatible but obv not so much....

All our oil is bulk and delivered by Shell. However it is all set up by Ford Canada, so I hope they are on the ball and making sure the bulk oil is not the new CK-4.

So my parts manager has told me now ford is saying ck-4 oils are ok for the powerstroke. Can't find any documentation to proof this, but what a gong show if it is true.
