66glide
Has anybody done this? I'm wondering if it uses the same PCM and just needs control switches, clutch switch, brake switch inputs?
Buddy_M
I believe it's as easy as just replacing the steering wheel with the switches. All the other switches for clutch and brake are there and PCM is already set to accept it I do believe. Never had to do it myself, but I do remember reading something of it several years ago now. forddieseldoctor
I did it on my 97. I had to put the steering wheel switches in and I made a jumper for the deactivation switch instead of buying the new master cylinder and the switch. The connector for the deac switch was there. 66glide
Thanks for the responses. I believe I will have to buy a new horn pad and switch assembly, then?
forddieseldoctor
I'll look in mine later, but I believe on that one you will need a different steering wheel. I'm not 100% aboutif the clock springs are the same either.

It had a new steering wheel, clockspring, and I dunno what else.
forddieseldoctor
You could probably pick up a boneyard column with wheel fairly cheap.
Bruce Amacker
I'm pretty sure you need a SW and program, I did one a while back on an E-van. www.car-part.com (junkyard search engine) has SWs from $35.
forddieseldoctor
Parts catalog will tell you if the clockspring is different between cruise and no cruise.
