  1. Tech tip, I suggest putting a small zip tie around the fuel lines to keep the nut near the end. It saves the headache of fishing them back up when they slide down the tube.
  2. 4 school bus companies, 1 major County transportation company, most of the local ambulances PD and FD, plus contractors and other work vans. I'm way to familiar with subsidizing 6.0l van repairs out of my pocket.
  3. Ok update time, my own truck early build 03 with 185k miles, it's suffering from morning sickness for a long time but has been good after it warmed up but in the last few months it's been running like crap and the recent record low temperatures in the northeast haven't helped. I had a full set of 4c3z injectors so I stuck them in. I can report zero driveabilty issues.
  4. I just bought Sk long torx sockets 1 40 1 45 and cut it to length. I can buy 4 new Sk sockets for the cost of one snap on.
  5. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes! Warning labels are made to prolong the life of the slowest and weakest in the heard.
  6. I haven't been around in a while, I'm saddened by this news
  7. Hey I realize this is an OLD topic, and I haven't been around in a long time. But any other input on this? I need injectors in my own truck (early 03) and want to cheap out and have plenty of 4C injectors around.
  8. Dont do it!!!!!! I put a set of hypermax gaskets and studs on a truck and they failed big time in less than 5k miles total junk. it pumped so much air into the cooling system it blew the lower rad hose off.
  9. One of the "techs" at my shop put a longblock into a E-bus without the spacer between the crank and flywheel. some how it started but made some sick noises.
  10. I kinda like MATCO box's mine is a three bay plus. This is when I moved it from my old dealership. I bought it on ebay for less than half of what it cost new.
  11. I usually just take a quart oil bottle and cut the bottom off and use it to scoop out any excess oil so when it's reassembled it does not over flow. I don't worry about emptying it completely. Also before you install the filter pour a quart or two of oil into the housing it seems to cut down the cranking time on startup.
  12. My grandparents had a condo right on the Indian river in Titusville FL. about 15 or so miles from the shuttle launch pad. if you drew an east-west line from the launch pad to the corner of US RT 1(S Washington Dr) and Olmsted ave it would point to there patio. I never got to see a shuttle launch in person but I did get to see a rocket launching a satellite once, it was impressive. Grandpa was quite the camera buff so I had many great shots of shuttle launches when I was a kid including the Columbia explosion.
