  1. Look after your bodies gentlemen....you only have ONE. NOTHING in life is worth risking or compromising or your health.
  2. This is an interesting thread. I too, now seek opinions and feedback on the best device, laptop, tablet etc. to run IDS, FDRS and Forscan.
  3. Okay, something isn't right. We have a 2023 Transit in for an oil change. According to the workshop manual, a 2023 model year Transit equipped with a 3.5L Duratec V6 takes 12 quarts (11.36 litres) of 5W30. Yet, the same model year of Transit equipped with a 3.5L Ecoboost V6 takes only 6.0 quarts (5.7 litres) of 5W30!!! Something can't be right!!! Oh.... and look up those same specs for a 2022 model year Transit with both engines.
  4. ..... especially plastic engine parts which break easily and non serviceable.
  5. You know what one of my many working pet peeves are? Having EXCELLENT magnetic LED work lights that will light up pitch dark, but can't be placed anywhere in your working area because the vehicle you are working on has body parts that are non-magnetic.
  6. Can we trade fuel costs?!!!šŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸ¤£
  7. I was bored today and decided to do some math, and let me tell it's quite an eye opener. With costs of everything increasing during the last two years with the pandemic causing financial chaos for many households, I decided to add up the fuel receipts for both my wife and I. We both keep our fuel receipts and total it up at the end of the year just to keep informed on one component of our expense. Here it goes: My wife drives a 2019 Ford Explorer Sport equipped with the 3.5L EcoBoost V6, now at 88K kms (55K miles). She is a service advisor for a Chrysler dealership. She drives 63 kms (39 miles) each way, to and from work, so about 126 kms (78 miles) each day, Monday to Friday. After adding up her fuel receipts for this year, I come up with a total of $7150 CDN. I drive a 2021 Ford F-250 Lariat 6.7L Powerstroke CCSB 4x4 with about 27K kms (17K miles). I drive 23 kms (14 miles) each way, so about 46 kms (92 miles) each day, Monday to Friday. After adding up my fuel receipts for this year, I came up with a total of $4965 CDN. Combined, that brings the total to $12115 CDN for both of our vehicles for this year. Keeping in mind I drive a substantially shorter distance than she does, and my total fueling costs were only less than hers by about $2G CDN and you get the idea of how much us diesel drivers are getting raped at the pumps these days. As of this post, regular gas is priced at $1.42/litre while diesel is priced at $2.09/litre.
  8. Exactly what I'm wondering.
  9. So apparently a new oil filter is out, supposedly for the new "high output" 6.7 engines for the 2023 model year Super Duty trucks. I've now heard rumours this new oil filter is going replace the existing FL-2051S oil filter, and will be backwards compatible with all trucks with the 6.7 engine back to 2011 model years. Thoughts?
  10. Our one parts guy has been with our dealership since 1977. I forgot how many different owners he's worked under. He sure does have some interesting stories about the changes he's seen through the years though.
  11. My wife seems interested in one. Paying $130 to fill up her '19 Explorer every four days seems like a bother to her. I personally, would develop anxiety taking it on long road trips, is what would prevent me from buying one more than the price itself.
  12. Is that converted to US dollars?
  13. If I did the math correctly, that works out to $0.96/L, or $3.64.9/gallon.
  14. NOPE. The A/C pressure switch is part of the main battery cable/harness assembly referenced by the original poster, as are the alternator connections. I have replaced quite a few of my share of these.
  15. Can someone explain to me what the difference is between kits FD-4625-AA, FD-4641 and FD-4645?
  16. YIKES!!!šŸ˜² By my math, that converts to $2.73 CDN per litre!!! And I thought fuel has always been cheaper in the U.S.
  17. What are fuel prices in your neck of the woods? As of this writing, we're at $1.85 CDN for 87 octane gas, and $1.97 CDN for diesel.
  18. I will pass that information along. Thanks. The crank sensor tone ring IS part of the flexplate if I'm not mistaken, correct?
