  1. This is another Blue Diamond truck. Not sure where the F550 chasiss part came from but I don't think that is correct. It is basically an Isuzu truck platform from the looks of the one I saw at NTEA convention a month or so ago. Twin-turbo that is "one" piece style. It was supposed to hit the street in the 03 model year and has been pushed back repeatedly because of various issues with the 4.5 and the tranny from what I understand.
  2. Looks as though that harness will work on Eng serial #6155637 and up (Indy built) and 94581 and up (Huntsville built) 9/22/03 and up 03-04 models can't find squat on the 05-06 models though under that basic. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/banghead.gif
  3. I have just sold a customer a 4" kit and he is telling me that on startup and at idle there is a horrific sound coming from what he assumes is the EGR open. Now once he accelerates the noise goes away and the exhaust sounds much better. I guess I was hoping someone had some experience with this and could shed some light?
  4. Can anyone shed any light on what issues a person would experience with the EGR after installing a larger exhaust on a 6.0?
  5. Have you tried Motorcraft VC1 for a flush the guys in our shop like it. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/shrug.gif
  6. Here is my "I can't get sh*t out of anyone I know" post. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/banghead.gif I bleeped the names out to protect the innocent. Does look like we might hear something "Offical" in April though... Dale FYI Alan Blue Diamond Parts, LLC A Ford Motor Company/International Truck and Engine Corp. 7. So similar to the Cummins injection then? /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/confused.gif
  8. LOLGotta love it when I customer shows up with a hole in the block the size of a coffe can and they tell you "I didn't hear anything just going down the road and the engine died"
  9. Your correct there are 2 different ones. 03-04 Model=4C3Z9F452A (at least it will be soon I suspect) 05-UP Model=5C3Z9F452AA Curious if the 05 would work on a 03-04?? /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/confused.gif
  10. Started to do some price comparing on the 6.0 EGR valve and see if Navistar was any cheaper and I think I discovered a supercession that hasn't happened yet. Navistar # 1840917C91 which is the equivilant of 3C3Z9F452AC has superceded to 1846491C91 which is Ford # 4C3Z9F452A None of this is updated in DOESII yet but I expect it will be soon. Pricing went up again too. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/shrug.gif It is cheaper thru Ford by $20 No real reason to point this other than the 3C3Z-AC is on Backorder and the 4C3Z-A showed stock so if your waiting on one might check the other #

  12. I love this comment. I agree with the consensus. I don't see the need however for chips, upgraded turbos or injectors etc. if you need that for the vehicle to perform in the manner you wish it to you need a different truck.I wish there was some way to actually determine how many of any of the failures on the 6.0 were caused by chips or upgrades of some sort. Yes this engine has its issues but for the ones that make it to the internet I would venture to say a good portion of them were 1 of 2 things either not stock trucks or not maintained well.
  13. Finally found a bulletin today about adding Tow command to 05 vehicles that were not equipped. My question is this...Will this work on all 6.0 torqshift tranny vehicles as in is this parameter out there on 03 and 04 models and just needs turned on or is it more involved than this? Part #'s are as follows 5C3Z2D113AA Knob for brake controller 5C3Z14A303AA Harness for controller (same harness as the upfitter switches) 5C3Z2140HA Master cylinder 5C3Z2C006AA Controller (to order you must have the full vin place the order then call 800-403-4844 and provide them with the vin) Hope this info saves someone else some time I have been /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/banghead.gif for a few days looking for some sort of info on this. Anything else that anyone can add would be much appreciated. Also any know how or what might be needed to add the backup proximtiy sensors to a vehicle that wasn't built that way? Broadcast Message 3938 - 2005 F-Super Duty - Dealer Installation Of Two Command System - Service Tip If a tow command system (TBC) trailer brake controller is dealer - installed on a 2005 F- Super Duty that did not come from the factory with the tow command system, the controller may not operate and function as designed unless a brake pressure transducer equipped master cylinder is installed and the instrument cluster is reconfigured. To configure the cluster using WDS (cannot use NGS): identify vehicle; select toolbox icon; from list on left side of screen select "module programming" and hit tick button; select the programmable parameter item and a sub-menu will appear. In this sub-menu, select "personality" and hit tick button; select "trailer brake controller" then select "equipped". Master cylinder installation and cluster reconfiguration to complete dealer-installation of the Tow Command System are not warrantable.
