  1. How did I not hear of this? That is hilarious! I bet those converters were alot more money then the fuel pump it needs ....and people think they save money by not bringing it to the stealership
  2. i never new that website existed haha heres another good one
  3. Dwayne may be proud to not own a 6.0 because he owns a 7.3 just like Kyle is glad to not own a 6.4 because he owns a 6.0. I think they will both agree that at least most of the time the 6.0 is fixable! I reserve the right to say I told you so...
  4. because its over 160,000 that means he can no longer purchase esp right? even if it is a good deal what if the thing melts down with no warranty?
  5. 420 ft/lbs! thats pretty damn impressive. goodbye V8 competition! http://news.pickuptrucks.com/2010/09/for...ounds-feet.html
  6. I dont get these multiple viscosity choices... wouldnt 0w40 be ideal for ALL conditions?
  7. Ford put out the first set of numbers in anticipation of GM releasing their improved 6.6 with higher numbers. I was told by an instructor while on a course that the new 6.7 went through all the same testing on multiple programs and this "new" program was one of them. Pretty sure it was a well planned thing I say good job Ford
  8. I have felt it on multiple flexs and edges. We have multiple complaints of this as well i think Jim had about 5 of them at one point. One customer even said it was so bad the tires locked up...i think Jim replaced an OSS on one as per hotline but I never heard if that fixed it or not.
  9. Factory electric fans are good...IMO aftermarket electric fan kits (flex-a-lite)ect.. have to many reliability issues.
  10. Haha can you guys tell me and Jim have had this argument before?...getting off topic here but...can someone explain to me why you would rotate tires on a vehicle if the drive tires have more tread? I know Superduties wear the rear tires much faster then the front especially the oil burners and FWD always wear the fronts faster. Do you not want to keep all 4 tread depths as close to the same as possible? Especially when we have TSBs on AWD noise due to tread depth differences?
  11. "He doesn't need a tire rotation"... he doesn't NEED a tire rotation because he's been having his tires rotated.... Stop rotating them and it will be too late. Or maybe they just had them rotated at the tire shop last week for free because they bought them there, and you just rotated them back! Often people just drop there vehicle off and tell the SA "whatever service it needs" the SA looks at the milage and makes their decision off of that. Remember when someone rotated tires on a Mustang with 275s in the rear and 235s in the front because the RO said maint2? Never trust the SA!
  12. I love my lisle tool. Pretty sure i could remove 8 broken plugs in the time it takes some people to do 1 Fords way. Jim was braggin the other day cause he got lucky doing one broken plug Fords way
  13. Transverse mounted engine...unibody..yuck. Whats next an F150 with the same setup as a Honda Ridgeline?
  14. I do know exactly what your saying Jim. But you and me both know what would happen if a "good customer" did this to their truck. It would get pumped out and fresh diesel put in and out the door warranty in tact haha.
  15. why wouldnt a person just clean the tank and fill with diesel?
  16. Not too problematic besides the trans cooler leaks which is now a recall on the 08s. If it has contenental tires I would toss those suckers right away before they seperate. For the amount of them that are on the road around here we dont see to many major failures. But if you plan on doing any long distance driving you may want to consider something else I find the escapes are very loud with wind and road noise.
  17. a 6.0 with steam out the cap? I doubt overheating is the issue
  18. Seems kinda silly, but at the same time it would be pretty funny considering GM waited for Ford to release their numbers and it would really PISS THEM OFF! But is there enough time to really test a new tune? It doesnt seem right to spend all that time testing just to throw it out the window because of a stupid rivalry...
  19. I bet a TSB will show up. They marked the wastegate rod the same way as the SHO. So people may be able to put a tuner in but you arent going to get any more boost without techs being able to see its been modified.
  20. i dont think you will get a torque wrench on the rear lower bolt on the drivers side without lifting the cab at least a few inches?
  21. the 2011 site has been updated with field testing trucks and what they've been up too. Those Halliburton trucks are on there too! http://www.fordvehicles.com/2011Superduty/?p=fieldwork&rt=350xlt
  22. without an IDS, this is going to be tough...
  23. when does it stall? at idle? does it run fine otherwise? the reason i ask is because there is a newer PCM calibration for dirty throttle bodies. After disconnecting the battery or reseting KAM you may have this exact problem if the calibration is old. Have seen it a few times. TSB 08-18-2
