  1. Good to hear Jim! Ill be up to visit soon!
  2. Best of luck Jim. Im sure you'll out live us all!
  3. I only hope they fix the damn ecoboost. Im not sure how they are doing in everyone elses climate but here in southern alberta they are shit. The CACS are still filling with water even after the "redesigned" CAC and sheild are installed. The way the intercooler is mounted is just plain stupid.
  4. That is getting to be a common spot. I too have had broken wires there but mine lead to a loss of communication from the PCM to ABS module.
  5. After all these years of having this problem you would think ford would be running the vent to a better area from the factory...
  6. At least on the 6.7 it looks like the water will actually be away from the flow of the fuel down at the bottom of the bowl with a vertical filter. the design on the 6.0 and 6.4 was garbage I'm not sure how they ever expected a horizontal filter to separate water.
  7. i used it a bit today. instead of narrowing it down to the last selection group i usually just clicked on the closest one in the first or second group to avoid missing ones that may apply.
  8. It needs to be cut out from the bumper. When they come factory the bumper is notched out there so im guessing it was put on afterwards and not cut out OR had the wrong bumper put on at the factory.
  9. I still don't understand why gm and ford use V8 diesels. I'd imagine the dodge techs don't curse as much when one of theirs rolls into the shop...Now a ford with a cummins engine THAT would be an awsome truck.
  10. I'd be a hypocrite if I said people should be fined for removing emissions equipment...my 08 mustang is getting long tube headers with an "off road" H-pipe and lopey cams that are sure to send some unburnt fuel out the exhaust I know Jim will like that haha.
  11. What Jim said...also if they had it stuck I'm betting the TFT was high enough that anything other then a complete overhaul would probably not be a good idea...Im guessing this is a retail repair. If it were me it would most likely get a reman. Let the rebuilder carry the warranty.
  12. A snow day for 8 inches??? Thats funny
  13. i diaged a radiator leak the other day...and so it begins!
  14. I know the alternators like to make a metallic squeal when it's cold out. Replaced the alternator in my truck a few winters back which only fixed the noise for about a month then the replacement started to make the same noise...now I just live with it..
  15. I'm willing to bet that engine never saw a drop of 5w20...
  16. Grande Prairie is a dump...most places north of Edmonton are dumps. I think Slave Lake is the nicest dump.
  17. Ah I get it...I was thinking of the battery as the source. I know I learned this shit in school And still mix up dual spark and waste spark...
  18. I'm confused as hell. Isn't the ground the side electrode on the spark plug unless it's a waste spark?
  19. I think it would depend on the vehicle. It should take the shortest path back to ground and all ground points go back to the battery. Once it hits ground it's dead and nothing goes back to the coil.
  20. I personally don't even soak them in kroil or anything. I just rip em out and if they break remove them with the lisle tool. Even if half of them break I can still do it faster then if I cracked them loose, soaked them, waited, work them back and forth...and end up breaking them anyways.
  21. You can actually buy an oil to air remote setup but they aren't cheap. They claim to lower oil temp 50*. http://innovativediesel.com/i-4645037-ford-6-0l-remote-oil-cooler-kit.html
  22. it still bothers me those were put on...
  23. Most over-sized tires 35" plus that are load range E have a max pressure of 65psi only then could I see it being OK.
