FWIW You can access the engine ECM on those with Calterm and Insite if you know where to get into the backbone network.

I'd tie into the calibration and turn all the fueling and timing back about 10 percent and send it out. 

I'd do it on my own truck in a heartbeat, but that being said if for whatever reason I'm taking the cam out, i'm likely going to have it on a stand so I might as well check the bearings while I'm at it.

i hope this still isnt broken, but if you're getting that deep in an LB7, put the whole bank, or a whole set in it.

If it's absolutely necessary, bio that's VERIFIED at B5 is i believe the MAX allowed in a 6.4

Ford has independently tested pumps marked B5 as high as B90.

Cummins guy tried to program an ECM on a motorhome.

Bricked it.

Eventually, Cummins ate the cost of the ECM.

Charged us $80 for the calibration "part" plus around $500 for programming and shit.

I had to do all the R & R on the module, and point out the bench harness he was using was powering the J1939 pins. As in, feeding B+ to the network circuits. Yeah.

If my options were fix it with dorman or have a non running vehicle, I'd be on the bus on my way to the shoe store.

My boss insists we use the shit. I would say probably half or better of the dorman parts we use, I end up replacing again. Even their remote/fob cases are fuckin' junk.

I see a truck that a guy has a resistor (can't remember the value) soldered into the oil temp circuit. It never gets above 90F, therefore there's no EGR commanded.

Even though the ECT is 200F, the oil is 90F, and the ECM doesn't pick it up as an issue for some reason.

I am getting the impression that Ford is getting a lot of complaints from people firing the parts cannon at their 6.0 trucks, since i see a metric fuckton of guys leaving Ford stores, and the replacements are not very good a lot of the time.

As for your original question I'd be comfortable with a sleeved lifter bore. I also wonder if there is any improvements that can be made to increase oil feed to the lifters.

6.0 would be the best way to go truthfully just for simplicity sake.

Or a complete Cummins swap kit retaining the 5R110 with the PCS controller. Or swapping to a 4r100. But none of these may be legal emission options in your jurisdiction.

My torqshift shifts almost as hard as my TH400 with fixed line pressure, and I've never broke a flexplate.

Mishmoto ones are junk and their warranty sucks balls to deal with.

I've got a 2yr/unlimited FoMoCo one in it now. (Which has failed once already since May of this year)

I've changed the body mount isolators, hogged out the upper radiator mounts to allow it to move around. We'll see what happens. I also dropped to a 10psi cap.

Did you clean the metal contamination out of the rest of the motor?
