  1. Relatively new to Cummins. Is there a typical reference value chart similar to Fords? Been all over QSOL and could not find any
  2. Instakked new egr valve and retested working as designed
  3. first '11 i've had to work on.no mil on but P04DA-egr flow high active command egr noticed spikes/dropouts on egrvp.called hotline necessary to moniter maf flow w/fuel shut off should be 9+G/S.can't test truck not here right now.will follow up on thurs

I'm pulling my hair out trying to find info on this truck. brake warning lamp and chime comes on interm while driving.managed to figure out how to get codes from "black box"drivers kick [panel. i have a code 03.problem is if continue driving rear brakes smoke-info i have so far is when pressure drops below 60psi lamp on.this is electric hydr brake system.when i drive pressure readout never goes below 80psi. hopefully someone in here has some input. THIS IS A NONE ABS SYSTEM.Not sure of type, it's a hrdroboost setup but has it's own electric pump attached to hydroboost unit w/pressre senser.
  5. first 6.4 engine knock in shop-rem and disassembled-mains toast removed waterpump and found front cover etched out porosity galore and waterpump impeller ground down. my question why didnt enhanced fail safes disable motor. replaced rad on another 6.4 2nd time.removed waterpump for inspection and what do you know cover is showing signs of wear and porosity at 8k. have anybody else seen this?
  6. MY FIRST 6.4 OIL LEAK AT 2100MILES WAS SAME.HAD TO PULL CAB THIS WAS BEFORE IN CAB REMOVAL PUBLISHED.YOU THINK THEY WOULD HAVE PUT A STUD IN TO ANCHOR DRAIN TUBE, BOSS IS ALREADY ON TUBE!

  8. am in the same sinking boat as all.it's not our fault 6.0 is under engineered.am getting sick of TSB time cuts.my only hope is to make it another 8yrs then i'm outta here
  9. remove all 8 injecters pressure test cooling system look for coolant at tops of injecter cups-already had 4 trucks like this-usually #3,8,7 cylinders
  10. been finding lower d-rings on blockoff tubes shreaded/cut leaking.usually gives around 200-280psi during hot crank
  11. I SEE MOST "REAR MAIN SEAL LEAKS" AS CKP/CMP SENSER O-RINGS AND OR BED PLATE SEALS.HAVE FOUND MANY WORRY MARKS ON CRANKCASE TO BED PLATE SURFACES. POOR QUALITY CONTROL MAYBE PERFORMANCE DEVICES.ON THE EARLY 6.0 MOSTLY ICP SENSERS AND GLOWPLUG HARNESSES
