  2. this may be a dumb question but is the coolent hoses sucking together a good sign of a cracked head
  3. I have heard about an egr cooler system bypass kit from somewhere, but i cant remeber where. Does anybody know where to find one and has anyone installed one before and does it do what its suppost to do with no side affects.
  4. hey guys, i am still learning on these so if i ask a stupid question look over it but on a 6.0 how do you determine if the fuel leak is coming from a leaking o ring and cup, or a cracked head.
  5. hey guys i was wondering, i have to replace a crank sensor on an 07 f-350 monday first thing for an oil leak. i have been takin the ac compressor loose to do this, do any of you have a better way of doing this.
  6. the trans range sensor fixed my problem, thanks guys for the help.
  7. its an f-250, ford hotline says to replace tr sensor, so that is what i am doing right now. i will let you know what happens.
  8. no it does not crank with the fan clutch disconnected and it cranked after i reconnected the trans connector, i didnt try to crank it with the trans disconnected, you must have missunderstood.
  9. this is probably an easy question but i just want a second opinion. this 06 f-250 has no start no crank, with codes p1705, p0706, and p0707, i perform ssm 19487 but at pin 21 i have 12 volts with cooling fan clutch connected or disconnected. engine will still not crank with fan clutch disconnected. i got it to crank once after i plugged the trans connector back up. have you ran into this and would you say it still has a problem in the fan clutch.
  10. hey i appreciate all of the help. I was debating on going the gas or diesel route. I feel like i have a better chance with the diesel test. I will get me some study guides and read up on everything. Thanks for all the help. I have only been working on diesels for about 3 years now but belive it or not i really like workin on them alot better than gas burners. I think im gonna sign up next time around. Wish me luck and thanks again.
  11. yep i see this alot, like the guy before i can pretty well look at a bolt in a 6.0 and tell u where it came from and i do run across shotty work alot and it is left to me to check for someone elses mistake before i let it go. Its something i am slowly getting used to.
  12. i have my master certification in drivetrain and chassis. i only like the ase test for engine master. i was just wondering if it is more beneificial to me to go the diesel repair route. and i was also wondering how hard the t2 t6 and l2 test are and if i need to study up on all diesel engines, like detroit, cummin, and cat
