Hey there, 04 6.0l egr cooler oil cooler and head gaskets done 19000km ago came in now for excessive purging out degas bottle, egr cooler badly failed , replaced egr cooler and oil cooler retest just started to build 20 psi mgp and coolant pressure was already at 17 psi, removed cylinder heads, gaskets looked not bad, sent out heads were cracked in usual places , but advised to replace any way, so has 2 new cylinder heads new egr cooler and oil cooler , test drove today still building excessive coolant pressure, used combustion tester chemical, came out positive for combustion in coolant, any one else had problems with a block? or what else could cause this?boss wants to order a short block .help me thanks

we are in a current debate as to when or if we should be checking and resetting the "check coolant additive" at every oil change as customers are phoning in just after they had there truck here for servicing , .any thoughts on this? thanks.service manager just got the kit though and he says it looks like some kinda chemistry set.

hey just wondering what you found with this truck ?i have an 03 7.3l same concern but truck runs o.k for me ,koeo p1668 on demand p1670 continous,after truck runs.customer complaint of stalling.but will restart, have tried known good idm ,attempt clear codes reset kam p1668 still there ,load test pwrs and grds to idm load test communication wire from idm to pcm o.k ,suspect pcm ? just not sure why truck runs o.k for me with these codes?
