  1. Truck has a surge or could be described as hunting at 40-60 km/h. Converter unlocked,in 3rd gear,icp had some oil in connector,unplugged it and ran pretty well, replaced sensor and saw no change in truck. Monitor pids and take recordings and all looks normal icp,ebp,map,all go up and down with surge. Truck has a KN filter,pretty much no exhaust on it,customer has not had truck long and thinks its stock. It has unbelievable throttle response,like a 500hp muscle car with a stock converter,power seems normal other than the quick takeoff, I am thinking something else I cannot see has been done to the truck. 7.3's are not my thing,Much more used to 6.0 and 6.4 Any suggestions.   2. Don't know how many of you have seen the direct clutch burnt out of these in Transit Connect and Focus but there is now a TSB for them. 12 01 09 Reflash and repair direct clutch as nessesary. I imagine its going to put line pressure up abit for that 2-3 shift. We have one Transit that has had 2 Transmissions in 12000 km. Its at max weight with a hard driver. Hopefully this programming will help.
  3. I work on a few LCF's but not to many. I have not had one with a bad STC fitting yet and was wondering if any of them have the old quick connect or are they all the new style fitting?
