When I was in school about a year ago all of our tests were based on a s e testing with the tech a and tech b questions. I usually did pretty well but if I got in a hurry I would always miss the question. Are these tests timed?

Driving to work yesterday and the second time in 2 years I lost a power steering pump. I've heard from a few people that it is just a weak link in the power steering system and you can upgrade the pump with a saginaw. Since the truck is all the power steering is not part of the hydro boost. Has anyone ever upgraded 1 of these pumps with a saginaw are any other manufacture? Or should I just pull the pump off in rebuild it?

Has anyone taken any of these tests? what should I expect? I have the study guides and I assume if I read them well I will do fine. But I'm still pretty nervous I am doing a t 2 t 4 and t 6 this month (engines,brakes,electrical). Any suggestions or tips would be greatly appreciated

Keith, Unfortunately none of our diagnostic software is compati!ble with ford. Servicemaxx (our diagnostic plarform) is what we use for all of our engines including the T444E(7.3) and the vt365(6.0),is not even capable of speaking the same "language" as automotive applications. A few of us in the shop have our own generic scanners. But that is the only technology we have capable of doing it

I own the Snap on Solus Ultra and it will do KOEO, Buzz test, KOER, Cyl contribution, output state and lots more, i really like the scanner for automotive applications
