Aaron Posted August 12, 2009 Share Posted August 12, 2009 In Ontario, we have a diesel opacity test for vehicles over 10,000LBS GVWR. My truck is 11,400 so it's classed as 'heavy duty'. It's a snap test at WOT 3x to see how much "opacity" the truck puts out. HD trucks, in my weight and horsepower range, are allowed 30% opacity. My truck blew 0.0% He said to me he had to run it twice, because the first time he did it he thought his machine was broke. Carbon footprint my ass.
