sdv4x4 Posted March 24, 2010 Share Posted March 24, 2010 I got a 08 6.4, 56000 miles. towed in, No hp fuel. metal in fuel system. Metal came out of every injector line. Ford sent out a inspector, took fuel samples, passed. Got the ok for hp pump, 8 injectors and lines. tore down engine, found hp pump gear very warped. I pulled off one of the piston heads on the pump...total devastation inside! hooked a battery up to starter to check cam gear, also has a wobble. Back and forth with hotline, one guy told me to replace cam, another guy told me to do a short block. Then the first guy calls me back and said thy gave me prior approval for a long block!
