ablokzyl
One of the salesmen at the shop just bought a 1999 International shortbus. His son races dirtbikes and he is going to use it as a hauler for his family and gear. His only complaint is that it has a speed limiter at around 60mph. Does anyone know how I can disable the limiter? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
blown99
That is about a 30 sec. parameter change in the ecm with master diagnostics, very easy to do. No way that I can think of to "fool" the ecm.

DwayneGorniak
You need the OEM software to change the parameters in the ECM. I had to do the same thing to my International. You will have to take it to an International dealer who has the diagnostics of someone else who has. It doesn't take long. 5 to 10 min at the most. Thankfully I now sell this stuff and get around it. Do not ask me how I have my hands on OEM software. Oh, and when you get the paramters changed, do not forget to change the parameters in the cruise control as well. If you only change the ECM speed limiter, you will be able to go faster with your foot on the throttle but not with the cruise on.
ablokzyl
I told him today that I dont have the software to do it and he didnt take it too bad. He thinks he knows a guy with the capabilities. I will definatly tell him about the cruise control issue. Thanks again
