nelsona19 Posted December 21, 2015 Share Posted December 21, 2015 Well I got to do my first 2015 f150 cab off a couple weeks ago. While there is no procedure in the workshop manual it was actually amazingly easy.I had to replace the firewall and tranny tunnel heat shields for rodent damage. Then about a week later I got to do another one. One thing I noticed is that they got rid of the MAF sensor and went with a MAP sensor only now. Alex Bruene Posted December 23, 2015 Share Posted December 23, 2015 I've done a few cab lifts with my mobile hoist... I find it doesn't quite lift the cab high enough to get the engine lifted high enough to get over the bumper... Did you find the same? nelsona19 Posted December 23, 2015 Author Share Posted December 23, 2015 I don't know in and F150 haven't ever taken the engine out this way, but if they all come off this easy I might start to. In superdutys though I can just barely squeeze the engine and tranny assy out with the adapter plate and a custom made chain by myself. And a helper is nice also.
