lmorris Posted March 25, 2020 Share Posted March 25, 2020 Have one in my bay. Confirmed the one way clutch blew up, and sets codes for solenoid E(overdrive) stuck on. Can someone explain to me why it starts out in 4th gear when this happens? Confirmed 4th gear start by watching ratio pid. Looking at the shift chart if solenoid E is stuck on that will be 4th then if the PCM turns off the TCC that is manual 1. lmorris Posted March 27, 2020 Author Share Posted March 27, 2020 For now I will take your word on it. The WSM states that a damaged OWC will cause a launch in 4th. Not sure how that is because the Low reverse clutch should be on providing 1st gear at launch. And the code for E solenoid stuck on takes me straight to diagnosis of the OWC in symptom charts.
