  1. I installed a new CMP and CKP sensor and the truck started and runs fine. I'm guessing it was just bad timing! No pun intended
  2. I'm stumped. I have our service truck in the shop, 04 6.0, it's the early build with the old intake manifold. It starts normal, then stalls after 5-15 sec. Just shuts down. The problem started during an induction/injector cleaning. We had the machine hooked up when it stalled the first time. Our injector cleaner is a DFS 910, it bypasses the fuel pump by looping the supply and return at the upper filter housing, then runs off a chemical cleaner. It also has an adapter that goes into the egr port which sprays cleaner though the exhaust side and then the intake side. I ran the machine cleaning the exhaust side, then I switched the the intake setting, the truck ran for about a minute, started to smoke grayish white, then stalled. It hasn't stayed running since. I put everything back together, still, the trucks starts, then shuts off. No codes. FICM, 47.5-48 key on, crank, run, even when it stalls. ICP is good, psi goes up just as it dies, as if its trying to keep itself alive. ICP_Desired goes upwards of 1800 as its shutting off. There's barely any throttle response when the truck is running and will stall it quicker when throttle is applied. FICM sync is YES. I pulled the turbo downpipe off, thinking the cat got clogged, nope. I checked for exhaust in the fuel. I even tried helping it run with ether, nothing. I don't know if the injector cleaner caused the problem or if it was coincidence. Someone point me in the right direction please.
  3. I had a 6.0L with identical symptoms a while back, I checked the cmp and ckp circuits like you have, replaced the sensors, I was stumped. Then I learned that the PCM relays the signals to the FICM, I found my short between the PCM and FICM. Just a thought.
  4. Given I had two inj codes from the same bank, I'm going to tackle that side first, I will be suggesting to replace the set though.
  5. I got it. I had exhaust coming out of my stand pipe, must have an injector off its seat. Thanks for the help!
  6. Fuel pressure is 49psi. 131k miles, unsure of hrs... it will idle in park, but if you hit the accel it takes a bit for it to rev up. (Its been in warm garage for 4days now). There is a steel tank, but both filters were removed and examined and appear to be fine. I'm going to check for bubbles at my stand pipe now.
  7. Got a E450 in with a complaint that the vehicle wouldn't go more than 10mph. Confirmed the complaint, and found that the engine loads up when you press the brake, and then even more if you put it in gear and will slowly begin to die especially if you increase AP while braking in drive. Sounds like it runs out of fuel. Only codes are for cyl 8 GP, and cyl 3&5 contibution. The EGR is clean, the EBP tube and sensor are clean, the turbo spools, I disconnected the cat that didn't help. The pids are pretty norm, EXCEPT Engine Load, at idle in park it reads 66%, press the brake and it jumps to 99.7%. This has a hydraboost on it. Removed the belt and ran it, the engine sounded a bit better, but it still wanted to stall. Ideas?
