  1. What do you guys use for the newer f650s we have a few in our fleet and are looking into buying the cables and such, we have cummins insite for the engine but nothing to communicate with the body, is it the ids with a different cable?
  2. leavnon3rd nypd mechanic? fdny over here, dealing with metal in all our 6.7s lol!
  3. thanks keith, it's greatly appreciated!
  4. hmm i don't think i even knew about those rubber seals, is there one in each hard line? i'm going to reseal the other bank of injectors, and change those seals and perform a vaccum test and hopefully it holds. Keith is that the part number for the seal kit I will need? Hopefully my dealer will be able to find a parts break down for the o-rings or at least a size so I can pick them up in viton
  5. running into the same issue with my fathers truck, haven't had the time to go over there and look at it yet, replaced all the return lines last year, and some how the kit i bought, the line wasn't diesel compatible and collapsed, replaced all the lines with marine diesel line, and half the bank of injector o-rings, ran good for a while, now he called me up saying the filters dry and the truck won't start. As simple as the old trucks are, it's tough putting my brain in "old" mode after playing with 6.0s, 6.4s, and 6.7s all day. Can't even ask for advice as I haven't even looked at the truck yet
  6. This is awesome thanks, one question I have is when looking at the fuel grams added per injector, what range seems to be too much added too much taken out, and what is considered normal? Haven't fooled with too many 6.7s yet as most of our fleet work goes to warranty when they're brand new.
  7. Thank you for this, been having an ambush of p207f codes in our fleet (we just received a bunch of 2013 6.7) and they all are coming in with this code.
  8. can we sticky this? had a truck tonight 945 miles since last regen completed came in with overfilled cranked case code (was about 3 gallons over full). I don't know if it was mentioned here, but the PCM will command a constant regen until one is completed after the truck has went greater than 667 miles. The DPF had a ton of oil residue in it, drove it to clean out the dpf. Manual regened it, didn't reset on IDS. Looked furthur into the situation and the truck would blow black smoke while goosing it, condemned DPF failure.
  9. What was ever found with this truck? I have the same issue with a truck in my shop now, replaced cluster, same thing. Scoped the whole harness, all looks okay and has a new engine/engine harness. All bulkheads seated properly with no corrosion. Sorry if the answer is right in front of me, I'm kinda tired lol
