  1. That's a great spot for the CKP, isn't it? First AC compressor I did on an E, I broke the sensor. Then broke the sensor off in the block. Then began drinking heavily.
  2. Squash the bypass hose from the CCV and see if it does it. www.kemperformance.com Talk to Mike. 25mpg @ 75mph, 13.00, 12.90 ET's, at 8500lbs.
  3. Is this kind of like a "my junk broke, and i dont want to pay for it" situation, Keith?
  4. Picked up a low 11 second ride in the fall. Going to change the intake and camshaft this winter, should run 10.90's on pump gas, without beating it up too bad. 400 smallblock, TH-400, 3.90 rear gear, airflow research heads, pro-systems carb. It's got a 25 year old camshaft profile in it, which i suspect would be woke right up by merely swapping with my new modern grind.
  5. 'specially the 4th gear clutch hub. 4T60-e in that?
  6. I'm identified by a unique identifier in STARS, also tied to my Social Insurance Number in the Ford system. No fuckin' way someone else is using my S.I.N. for ANYTHING!!
  7. Been there, done that. Eventually, the dealer began to pay me for cutting the rotors if they went undersize, because for awhile, they ALL needed rotors after I got hooped on this once - We had a lathe that'd take .030 off each side in ONE PASS. Didn't take much to kill a rotor with that thing. I'd swap 'em on, and when I had a stack of 6 or 8 rotors sitting under my bench, I'd spend 20 minutes or so making 300ft long strands of brake rotor material, .030 thick at a time.
  8. holy SHIT that is a lot of bumpstick. Got the stock convertor in it? How's it leave? I'd suspect with that much cam it doesnt REALLY wake up till it gets some RPM into it. The huffer probably makes up for it a bit too. Are those cams hollow like the 3100/3400 cams?
  9. Also make sure it's not doing the TSB thing with the intercooler/condensation issue that the updated charge air cooler is supposed to address (but doesn't). And ditch the superchips tuner.
  10. What's the red shit on the stem and valve seat? Cut fingers on the sharp edges?
  11. "Why didn't you fix it when it was in the last time? You should have known it was going to fail." Point at a lightbulb on the ceiling. "Sir, can you tell me when that lightbulb is going to burn out?" Most people will pick up what you're puttin' down right there.
  12. I believe with the new updated installation lube (WHICH YOU MUST USE TO ACHIEVE THE PROPER TORQUE) the spec is 210ft-lb. Call ARP, they will likely send you a couple packets of it for free - the studs are warrantied for life so I'd think they'd fire ya off a couple packets of lube to help things along. (Is it just me, or does the last bit of that statement sound wrong...)
  13. Last early build HPOP I did, I offered the customer the option of tapping that hole and putting a pipe plug in it. checkball missing: New pump:
  14. Do you get much more awesome than a boobie covered in icing?
  15. You counteracted the high compression by swapping the cam? Aren't you SUPPOSED to pull the motor to swap cams in those cars? I started typing this while the video was loading. Holy. Mother. Of. God. That damn thing sounds like my Malibu, and it's got a 244 deg@ .050 cam in it, and almost 12:1 compression!! (new cam is 256/260 deg @ .050, 558/560 lift on a 106 deg cl, should idle like a dog poopin' razorblades) Awesome, dude! Is it driveable? I know a guy that can tune it if it's not and you're planning on keepin it. Sure does sound good man. Probably needs a fuel filter and a set of wires though
  16. That thing was MOVIN!
  17. They look like friggin' spares!!
  18. Remember, after 5 business days, that bitch is eligible for an engine due to insufficient supply of parts allowing you to step up to the next available assembly to keep the customer's ride rockin.
  19. Hollow filter will set a 2002 as well.
  20. I'm in the 'nipple camp' as well.
  21. Yikes... Don't you guys have minimum wages there?
  22. When you tell someone your car isn't as quick as it really is can also be considered sandbagging. Thing just looks like a total heap, but in the underhood shot, you can see FOUR adjustable holley fuel pressure regulators - you don't need more than one, especially since it's a 'dry' kit
