  1. Leave Clayton in charge... And it's turned into this? Hey guys. Been awhile. Working no longer with Ford, I'm now working at General Dynamics Land Systems, building/testing/repairing military vehicles. What'd I miss? Anyone wants to contacct direct; email powerstroker04394@hotmail.com - goes right to the cell phone. Good to be back.
  2. My friend Mike (The Nutty Professor) has delete "off road" tuning available for the 6.7 now.

Dealer in Windsor is storing them at the defunct GM store across the street, all lined up on display row. Looks like a Windbag DEALERSHIP. I had to laugh. We've got a whack of 'em. Anyone seen 11S16 yet? Front subframe recall?
  4. However, Grampy.... My back's almost better.
  5. It sucks, the cost of living is atrocious, isolation will drive you insane with the darkness all the time. If you want to do it, work FOR Diavik or Rio Tinto. You can live in your hometown, they fly you in and out for your rotational work, and that way the money is half decent. Ask yourself how much it's going to cost to heat a house that leaks heat like a sieve (they all do) on propane every month. Hay River NT -- Diesel $1.22/L (Nov 2008) High Level AB -- Diesel $0.87/L (Nov 2008) Just for starters. Do you smoke? In 08 cigarettes were $13 a pack. PM me if you want some more details, or if you're ever in the London ON area, look me up.
  6. Why are you smelling your own pee?
  7. The trucks up at Diavik have all the DPF's and cats hollowed out, before they had them tuned by Spartan, they would regen every so often. Bring it in the shop, clear DTC's, DPF reset, and they were good for another 100 hours or so. If they only knew there was a REAL EASY WAY that turned all that shit off....
  8. Much, much more work, for much, much less time.
  9. Check the calibration number in IDS and see if it jives with the latest flash. If not, put it at the latest calibration and re-evaluate.
  10. Been there, done that, got the T-shirt, and missed a back surgery because of a staph infection. That shit SUCKS. I went to emerg and they sliced mine open and let it drain. DISGUSTING.
  11. Call South Bend, they make nice stuff -- but I'm not sure if they have an application for something that old
  12. Green Giant "French Style" cut green beans are pretty good. I'd eat them right outta the can... Matter of fact... peel the paper label off, open the can, set it on the stove burner for a few minutes... Good to go. Since I don't have any pots and pans left..
  13. My personal truck has done that a couple times (sticking pedal). Returns to base idle if you give the pedal a light tap with your foot. More often than not when it's cold out. As for the fast idle concern... I read the thread over again quickly... what's the RPM_DES pid when the concern is happening?
  14. Last long crank concern I ended up with had an aftermarket oil filter in it that wasn't closing the drainback all the way. It would sometimes crank forever, sometimes start, stall then take forever to flash back up, or sometimes act normally. That's the first thing I changed, drove it around for 3-4 days, and never had a repeat issue. IPR was real low, and I couldn't hear any air leaks. Haven't seen it since for a start/stall concern, just oil changes now that he's learned the oil filter from us is the same price as the aftermarket one, now that he's bought the $60 cap
  15. Working at Rex's shop now, Brad? I like the new regulator kit, however -- don't bother selling it on an E-series... see if you can get the spring seperately from ITEC -- that's the only part of the regulator kit you can use. Seems a little heavy... $112 or whatever it retails at this week for a spring that could be robbed out of my ballpoint pen... speaking of which...I need a new pen....
  16. High five, brotha. That's the way I do all the cab bolts now. Buddy of mine told me about it quite some time ago. Works slicker than puppy poop on a linoleum floor.

I did a couple 2011 6.7 PDI's and they did not have the FSA flagged in OASIS. I did, however, have one fling on a check engine light after the recall (couple days after, so it may not have been related) and a P164A showed up. Followed pinpoint test, compared PID values to like unit, ended up replacing NOx sensor, and all is well. It's sad there's an updated part number for that sensor, already. And Toronto has 14 of the NEW part number in stock. LOL.

  19. Yeah, and even closer to the Arctic Circle, there's fresh veggies to be had. You'll need to mortgage several properties to get them, and leave behind the title of your pickup, but they can be had.
  20. TSB 10-20-10 Use an IMPACT wrench! WOO! But only on the front two though... dang. Shakin' my head.
  21. Anyone seen excessive DEF usage? Have a customer that's used 4 gallons in a little over 1800 miles. Doing the math using average regeneration distance, the truck is using approximately 64oz of DEF per reneneration cycle. No codes. No leaks. Waiting for customer return to do the dosing module test. This truck went 9956km on it's first oil change -- when it was filled at the first service, it took 2 gallons. Since 9956k, we're now at 13071km, and have gone through 4 gallons. Only change has been the 10B17 PCM update. No loading/driving conditions have changed, fuel economy has remained the same, as well as driveability. Customer never got a warning before the first LOF regarding fluid level, and it only taking 2 gallons goes in line with this.
  22. Hey, he said he was gonna chip it, not take stuff off!
  23. And I think I need to put another 1/4 lb of air in that right front...
  24. Understeer is a bitch though
  25. Some days better than others... Been pretty good the last little while but it's starting to bother me today. I need to GTFO the trade.
