  1. got a 91 f150 with 300 6 cyl that has a small intermitt stumble on take off check tp map fuel pressure and all are ok tp is a little high but still in spec any help would be greatful
  2. I found buzzing the injector cold helps alot. Need to check fuel pressure and check for restriction from tank maybe sucking trash had a ambluance to that to me,also change the fuel filter for shits and giggles.
  3. I uselly do a volt drop with a load 8 amp fog light but I cant find it no where time to retool I guess. And yeah I use ford alt only. 6.0ls aftermarket alts just cant hang
  4. found it thank god the fuse link for the "exciter" wire 0 ohms but couldn't care the load
  5. I got a 05 f350 6.0 single alt. that has a intermit no charge both bat are ok and been through 2 alts already anybody esle have the problem
  6. well the truck never had a problem with ac at all but the engine wanted to always run hot after i good hard run and plus this thing has some weight going on. Here in NC never put one on due from defect it was always consumer or mechanic fault due to the wires getting cut. i replace it and works great and test driving pick up a misfire, performed power balance found some bad injectors i wonder how hot this got and not cooked the egr cooler or blow the head gaskets.
  7. as any one ever replaced a fan clutch on a 6.0 due to engine overheating I have never replace one that was faulty always been where the wires wore not in place.
  8. the injectors nozzle are easy the take apart make sure that disassemble in a maganet tray there are little pieces that will fall out. make sure that most of the carbon is cleaned off to help break lose and restall with blue threadlocker.
  9. guys i have finally got oil pressure replace lpop and picked up oil pressure just like that

  11. yeap thats ball and spring I was talking about. Bruce when the plug is tightened is the spring going to be straight or kicked to the side just wondering looks like I am going put a new pickup tube, oil pump, and timing cover gaskets. Put the starter on and crank over see if it pulls oil out of a clear gal bucket
  12. well i pulled the engine out the other day to fix oil leak did notice on the valve cover under oil film the engine is a 03 so tells me its had a salavge yard engine put in it. pulled the oil pan and timing cover off the check for cracks being a salavage engine you never know. but the ball and spring i have a question on it is the spring supposted to set straight cause this one is not i pull it out to inspect every thing feels ok i came in the 6.0s and i have work on some 7.3 but mostly injectors, idm, hpop and cam sensors before and after recall.
  13. The best I can by the oil flow chart that it hits the filter frist then the oil gallerys. But I could be wrong the oil flow is not real clear to me. i thinking putting updated pickup and new pump and maybe a timing cover
  14. ok i guess this one has got me truck was towed in verified no icp no external leaks and was overfill with oil. Pulled plug off hpop reservoir empty for s and g filled up and spun over for about a min or so still no icp. Pulled icp sensor out to see if oil was present on injectors nothing. Pulled plug again empty again pulled top off reservoir and spun over for a few mins no lpop. Pulled filter off and spun over nothing. I felted like pickup tube or lpop. Got lookin found the glue on was leaking badly so pulled engine for fix that and I was hoping for a broken or crack pickup tube. Tested tube with water no leaks. Pulled pump off looked great have not physical mesaured it waiting on my buddy to bring my feeler gauage back to me. any help will be greaty thanked
  15. oh yes i have seen some idolots spray a whole can turn the key and watch it crack the block and bent rods. i have had the same can for 4 years it is rusted. i always take the power wire off both relays and let it spin for aleast 10sec before a little spray.

  17. got an 03 7.3 towed in cranks slow 112 to 150 rpm cranking fuel pressure is around 40 icp 1200 ipr is at 35% buzz injector all 8 sounded weak poss idm. replace idm one year to the day but this thing is cranking slow cmdtc only has p0603 koeo will repeat set p0605 poss pcm. also the shop battery tester messed up waiting on the tool guy to show to get another. any ideas guy
  18. ok back to the powerstroke removed hpop check for seals looked good spin the engine oververf. that oil was getting to the pump. I decide to replace hpop and it starts every time even after a cold soak and running for 3 hours
  19. thanks i got a new ipr i ll try i had the the truck runinng with the valve covers off did see any leaks but i pull the out to be sure and brad it actually was runinng out of fuel
  20. ok i forgot this during the air with the ipr Grounded at the pcm koeo should any air being coming from the vent hole
  21. Yes thats the hole i am talking about. A snap on scan tool ipr is @ 85% while cranking 23% hot idle. No i havent check for cranking rpm and it syncs right after you try to start it. about 25 to 30 mins on the air test
  22. got an 05 F450 6.0 with an long start does it cold or hot temp doesnt matter. Air tested at hot and cold no leaks found with ipr grounded at the pcm. Once icp is bulit runs great. pull hpop cover off for the hell of it to see if the stc was leaking and its not but did crank over until started and let it set and the "bleed off" hole just keeps running oil. I feel like the hpop has and internal leak any suggestions would be helpful
  23. sorry i have not updated but found the coolant lost by blowen head gaskets pull the cab and seen blow out on all eight cylinders
