  2. well as of this afternoon i had interview at another dealer thats a hour from wear i live beg me to come work for them. like i didnt have enough on my mind already
  3. The IDM buzzes all 8 injectors at first and at in order all injectors do buzz it is designed to do that to keep from burning the IDM up. So yes if you pull connector off one bank the other bank will buzz.
  4. I left the dealership back in 09 and since that same dealer is trying to get me back. They are offering a ton more money. Even right now I use all special tools. Just don't have a way to pts. Open to suggestions
  5. I do know that the vcm 2 has a problem programing older vehicles even some 6.0s. Make sure the are wires going to the obd 2 connector. Also check for power and ground if they are there.
  6. I actually have some I bought from our cornwell dealer and I can say it does work great for broken heaterboxes
  7. ok guys little update on this thing i pull the dist. cap off and checked play for the bushing "as per batmantech" found up and down as well as side to side play. Replaced with reman one and problem is FIXED. Thanks guys for all the help.
  8. Just normal wear truck only has142,000 miles road but i did check it but everytime i think something mechanical i go back yo the spout connector
  9. base timing is @ 10 without spout and it does do fine until it goes in closed loop and the shaft is good little to no play i put a pickup in it thinking it was screwing up but i not scared to try a another dist.
  10. Guys this thing has me pinned hard against the wall. Its a 93 f150 with 5.0 e4od trans. Once it is up to running temp with tcc engaged it goes to spark knocking and misfiring but unplug the spout shorting bar and runs fine. i have check the module and ecm also replaced with a know good ones.
  11. Try the cyl. conbr. cold and in gear. Run buzz before even cranking it up also. But as far as your blue smoke valve guides and seals may have some wear or turbo. Check crankcase case blowby.
  12. ether way nice to have 1 " laying around". I got one the does work below 44 degs but nothing my little torch can't heat up.

  14. got a 01 f250 5.4 blown out spark plug someone tried to fixed. 93 f150 5.0 with a intermit misfire. 95 f250 7.3 injectors 94 chevy c1500 burnt valve and 3 6.0 setting outside
  15. Better get ready to pull that cab one they start it only gets worst. Recommend head studs arp or a1. Also these heads are bad for hair line cracks and wearing valve guides out.
  16. yeah man it is kinda nice right now the place i work at is in plymouth about an 40 mins east of greenvile i pm u our address. And yes idm was bad but they joy of putting head gaskets on a idi 7.3l.
  17. No i am getting each code for all eight injectors. Brad hope ur enjoying nc it is a remand. I replaced the gasket and harness on engine assembly. It was bent but like all i straighten it.

  19. Got a 98 mid year bulid f550 have replaced engine due to lost of compression on number 5. Now its setting high side to low side open for every injector. And my shop info is down for maintenance so any help would be great
  20. ok guys check this out after a coulpe weeks working on this mug i found cracked branch tube, a small spilt in the pass. side standpipe, and a #8 injector top cracked. all three leaking oil. Before I foundthe injector leak I lost pcm sync and ficm sync. Found out that I had bad pcm. Customer came to pick up the truck I decided to run down the rode 1 last time. On the way back I lost boost. Found the egr valve wide open. and replaced it and then started smoking grayish color. Looked at my pids found ebp sensor at 50 cleared codes when down to 2. I replace the ebp sensor. Truck runs great. So yes this thang was turning my hair grey. Man what a story.
  21. ok guys check this out check this out got 06 f550 6.0 shut off going down the road. The driver cranked until batteries died. Got it in check fuel pressure 54 psi, ficm is at 48.5 while cranking,had ficm sync and pcm sync, icp at 115 with ipr shut off. Hey found my problem got a leak or bad ipr. air tested at icp no leak so I replaced ipr still nothing and this time only base pressure showing at icp. Hey got a bad pump replaced pump same thing tried 3 different ipr for s and gs. Hooked air directly in top of the pump closed ipr to check to see for leak there and and there was an oily fog the came out around oil cooler area. i figured i got a bad pump any help just a long week for me
  22. i have some computer terminals pins that i need to crimp and was wondering which is the best no pigtails listing on what i got
  23. I have access to both alldata and shopkey/mitchell. Sk has colored wiring diag. which is really nice and you can highlight that wire and direct to dtc short cuts and tips that do help But does not have connect views and little hard to find what our looking for.
