  1. I have a 6NZ in a kenworth that will miss intermittently. Its not logging any faults.Ran injector test and passes.Pulled valve cover and checked overhead, no issues.Had a fuel pressure gauge and road test.Fuel pressure was good.Any thoughts?
  2. Been away from the ford dealer for a while.Do I need a scan tool to bleed the abs on this?Replaced a caliper that blew apart from not changing the brakes.bleed brakes and can barely get a pedal.thanks.
  3. Yea you guys are right.Really appreciate all the help.Thanks.
  4. Well the guy is a good friend if mine and is looking for a quick fix to dump the truck. What are your thoughts on changing the lifters if the cam is not destroyed and I drop the pan and the bearings are ok? In my mind the engine is pretty much fucked but man do I feel bad he just dumped 5800.00 in this thing.
  5. Thoughts opinions ? Shat do you guys think is coming apart? Lifter needle bearing?
  6. The high pressure pump was done 2 months ago.Im hoping they put an updated fitting on when they had it apart.Anyway best way to tear this apart???Tear the whole front apart or just pull the rad???
  7. A friend of mine asked me to look at his truck. He said it just died.06 6.0.I looked at it yesterday.Cranking the engine the gauge doesnt move for oil pressure.I removed the oil filter and held the check valve down and cranked again. Its not filling the oil filter housing.I removed the oil pressure switch and put a gauge on there and i have 0 psi.Removed the regulator i found 2 tiny peices of metal that looked like part of a wire wheel but thats it.Oil looks clean. Is it safe to say i need to go after the LP pump. Also whats the best way to remove its been a while since i worked on a 6.0.I work for International now and its Maxxforce all day everday.
  8. Cranks fine.Have battery charger hooked up.After about 3 seconds of cranking the faults set.It does not sound like it wants to fire.
  9. I keep getting codes for for cmp and ckp incorrect signal signature.Ive load tested both circuits and checked for shorts.Everything checks out fine.Ive tried a cmp sensor, ckp sensor, and a test ECM.It still will not fire.I did notice when I pulled the cmp sensor out it had metal shavings all over it.So I scoped out the sensor bore.I can see the timing peg on the cam and don't see any damage. Is it possible that one of the gears slipped out of time??? That's where im at.Any help appreciated.
  10. They did a platinum kit.As far as I know all the parts are correct and the injectors were programmed.I was curious to that myself because I recently found out that the turbos are different on higher horsepower models. The truck does have the correct turbo installed.
  11. The engine just had an in frame with new injectors about 15,000 miles ago.Checked overhead and when I said tight I meant it was in spec but on the tighter side.We are testing the truck with a loaded trailer.Did not perform intake or exhaust restriction tests.
  12. Bruce you are the man! Many thanks. What other cool stuff you got hahaha.
  13. Yes I do.But shit like this like to know.I think it's cool .I would appreciate the post.
  14. Anyone know what they use for the injector disable test???? Do the add up the fuel rates then divide by 6? Then whatever is below the average is suspect?Servicemaxx gives very vague instruction. It tells you to run the engine at normal idle. Then disable for 10 seconds and run normal for 10 seconds for each injector .Then displays engine load, fuel rate and rpm results for each cylinder. Is there a formula?
  15. not yet will verify tonight. Its in a kenworth W9.Also inspected turbos for damage or excessive bearing play. There fine.
