  1. The converter nuts are easy to get to with a mid dip socket and a swivel ratchet. You do not have to pull the pan off. That socket is slightly shorter than the standard dip socket.I bought one from Canadian tire(chrome)I hate the way they designed the right valve cover because the rear cab mount is on the way.Otherwise the LCF/CF fear cold weather.
  2. Have you tried to update your calibrations thru NETS? Might be a software issue or the IDM.
  3. You are very right.I also has removal and installation instructions.you also get specs.Lovely engine.
  4. I talked to Ford support and they recommended I take a laser gun and check all ports with lowest heat and replace injectors.I found 2 on one bunk and 1 on the other.I replaced all cause the right bunk cover is a nightmare to get off.Now unit runs for about 10 to 15 mins and then misses at around 1500-2200rpm.i pulled out exhaust and ran unit and there was no difference.I noticed white/blue smoke when it misses.Checked boost pressure and fuel and they were within.called ford again and they recommendedi check rpm graph and ICP too.I was walking away from ICP cause this unit does not have a hard start. It takes 2-3 secs to fire.Could I be wrong?Does anyone know the issues they had with crankshaft tone wheel on the 6.0 or 6.4??????
  5. Anybody out there with an idea???????????
  6. Sorry, this is a different unit. Its a 2008.I ran the performance diag as per the guide and all tested ok.Does not matter hot or cold.
  7. Happy new year.I have LCF with about 14,000km that stumbles as soon as you floor the peddle. It stumbles from idle to about 2200rpm then picks up ok.No codes.KOEO and KOER,no codes. Customer does his own service.I replaced both fuel filters and checked pressure which was ok.I found out that he used 15w40.He picked up unit and changed oil to recommended 10w30.Found a TSB on stumbling issues and recommended NETS update.I did and problem still there.I pulled out ICP sensor and tested high pressure sys with shop air.I could hear a small amount of air leaking on both sides of valve covers.I replaced stand tube and still leaking.Requested help from a Ford tech and he told me a little amount of air leak is normal because we are testing with air and not a liquid.he recommended I replace all injectors. Are we heading the right direction???
  8. I replaced all 3 injectors on the left bank and the miss was gone.unit runs very well and has power. At least 2 injector tips had some oil build-up meaning they were inop. Thanks so much for support.
  9. All the four injectors sound the same with the KOEO test and no codes come up.
  10. I did not remove the rail because the stant tube recall was performed about 4000kms ago and also when I performed the air leak test, it did not leak at all but will pull other cover off and inspect both rails.Thanx for swift response.
  11. I performed NETS and after receiving, it said there no new strategy. The update was performed 4,000kms back and also the stand tube recall was performed then.I will perform the tests you have recommended. The injectors buzz for about 30 seconds after shutdown. when KOEO and KOER tests are performed, there are no codes detected.Thanx for help and will keep you posted.
  12. I have LCF with about 32000kms that has engine miss, long cranking issue and does not matter engine temp.Stand tube recall, software update and oil change had been performed.Went by the hard start on start guide and all tested ok.ICP was as desired, performed injector disable test but all inj on right bank felt very powerful while left felt slight change. It would not let me perform auto disable.pulled left valve cover off and found the plug on oil manifold that blocks ICP sensor leaking.performed air test with IPR energized and NO leaks detected.replaced o-ring but unit still miss but slightly better.Talk to hotline and they recommend I replace the 3 left injectors and if still missing, replace the other 3.Do you think I`m in the right track??
