fabfoes87
Hey everyone. I've only been at the dealer level now for about 7 months. I've just completed and passed my first course at the Ford training center and am very excited to continue my education with Ford. I just want to tell everyone on the site thanks for all the useful information available.
Aaron
What did you take? I've found what's even more useful at the Ford school - is the information that you get from the instructor that isn't directly related to what you're supposed to be learning. (Inside tips, tricks, etc.)
Bruce Amacker
I find I learn as much (or more) in the hallways and at lunch as I do from most training programs.
eastendpowerstroke
Wow I remember my first Ford training class, Basic Electrical in 1994. Basic elect is still the prerequisite for everything else you gotta take it a LONG road. Congrats.
fabfoes87
It was basic electrical. I'm excited to travel that long road to becoming a senior master one day. Thanks guys.

eastendpowerstroke
Ken Palmer or JR.So.....sumtinorother.. gotta go look a the certificate. these guy are splitting there time between training centers Mass,Yonkers,Columbia Green, makes it hard for guy to get into class for stuff. I've Never had Ken Palmer as an instructor But I understand that he can be very thorough....PAINFULLY thorough, I did have JR for Hybrid Escape/Mariner new model a few weeks ago in Yonkers. Seemed like an OK guy. I only really know one Instructor anymore John Clark in NJ. And he is the only instructor in the country that is still a FMC employee all the others are contractors. zog
JR is by far one of the best instructors I have ever had. I don't even need 5 coffees to make it through his classes.
vloney
Remember the FMT training CDs? There was 2, then changed to 4, then dropped. If you completed the 2 CDs, you are grandfathered in to all requirements (no basic electrical class needed).
deezul
I showed up last week (as well as three other ford techs) to a course in London but nobody else showed nor did the teacher I guess Gasoline Performance just isn't on the agenda for me. That has been the second time that course has been canceled on me...
xXCMGXx
Hey dont feel bad, my engine diag and repair course back in june was canceled 3 days before hand. I was planning on driving from Ottawa to Mississauga for the course.
Brad Clayton
Well, I followed the diesel path to senior master because there were less classrooms to go to. Now I have to get all the gas driveabilty classes to work on gassers. My next class is in conflict with my ASE recert. Uh boy.
