I'm just watching Undercover Boss Canada. Tonight, they are featuring Mr. Lube ( http://www.mrlube.com/en/Default.aspx for my American friends that have luckily never heard of them). They just serviced a 6.4 L diesel, and filled it with 6.6L of 5W20.

JIFFY LUBE hello! Posted Image

Same shit, different sign.

Sounds as good as the guy who was in our shop about two weeks ago, '08 6.4, had a "quacky lube" fill it with "synthetic" Mobil 1 "turbo diesel" oil, 0w30. For what he paid for the service, something sounded really fishy.

Needless to say, when we told him Mobil 1 makes NO oil suitable for his 6.4 he wasn't happy, he had us change it with a motorcraft filter and replacement lid (junk aftermarket filter) and Motorcraft 10w30 diesel oil.

I had to print out a sheet for Mobil Delvac 5w40 synthetic, but at $50 a gallon, he may think twice.

He got an expensive engine flush...

OK... if you go here and then click on video. Important to know is that there are two obvious links marked "video". The one near the top, directly below the W Network banner is NOT the one you want. Down a little bit is another link to "video" - this should get you to the video in question. After about 11 minutes of fluff, you will get to the inexcusable shit.

I am going to refrain from e-mailing Mr Loob for the duration of the weekend since I am sure this episode will be puled when the foul is announced. I feel it is our duty to show the general public that "fast food style" car repair doesn't work..

Talk about "unprofessional behaviour" - wrong is fucking wrong.

At about 18 minutes, there's too much oil in what appears to be an Escort...

I am having difficulty figuring out what "video" you are talking about however the point is moot. When I click on anything that says "video" I get a message stating: "The video you are trying to watch cannot be viewed from your current country or location."

Well excuuuuuuuse me! Posted Image

Jim, is there a Youtube link in the video or other way or link to share it? Posted Image
