Aaron Posted April 21, 2013 Share Posted April 21, 2013 I think it still has the DPF and junk working, just the SCR is turned off, which will likely beat up the mileage pretty bad or they might compensate with additional EGR to keep the NOx levels in check. jimmy57 Posted April 22, 2013 Share Posted April 22, 2013 There are no posts in 2 years on that thread. I have a friend with a '12 Chebby with Duramax. His truck is using DEF. I suspect the fix has been applied to those with SCR switched off. I bet the SCR being shut down also came with some increases in EGR and regens.
