Trans Line Quick Connect Fittings

Has anybody found a source for these fittings? I am doing a lot of trans lines on 6.0L trucks with Torqshifts that these fittings are permanently locked. The only way to obtain the fittings (that screw into the filter housing) is to replace the entire fuel filter housing. They are on major backorder aside from the fact that it is silly that they are not available separately.

The ones I need are 1/2"

Anyone?

Honestly I've never paid attention other than knowing they are 1/2" line, is the other end pipe or o-ring boss thread? Maybe this is the right style to work:

No go on the Dorman 800-617. It looks almost identical. We had one delivered. The 1/2" line size is correct but the 5/8 threaded end is a smidge too small by maybe 1/8" and has a finer thread pitch than the filter housing fitting. Saaaawinggggg and a miss... well, maybe this was a foul ball. LOL!

So we continue to search. It HAS to be available somewhere!

Where is Larry - he has a knack for hunting this kind of thing down.

I have not found a source for the fittings yet but I have this tool http://asttool.com/detail_page.php?tool_number=8023 and it works much better than the plastic Ford tool.

Those wouldn't happen to be the same as the fittings on a 6.4 external trans filter by any chance?

So far this is the only thing I have found and I don't think the one's needed are in this list http://www.fitzall.com/cooler_line_fittings.php

Also for the trans quick connect fittings (Jiffy Tite)with clip on the outside these are great http://www.lislecorp.com/divisions/products/?product=527

I completely understand snap to connect fittings in an assembly scenario. Easy, no tools, no threads to damge, nothing to overthighten, and feedback(click) to know that is connected.

What I don't understand is the variety of styles. I am not aware of any on any make that do not work and stay sealed. There are some with plastic clips that do age and crack.

The fittings in this thread are some of the worst from a servce standpoint and they hold dust and dirt too readily.

Jiffy-Tite style don't seem to hold any advantages either other than for tool sellers to have yet one more thing to sell.

The lock spring style as used on a/c lines hold and are easier to get crud out of if it collects.
