  1. Just put a F7TZ-B in the glove box.
  2. I would be nice to see some actual proof that a recall is on the horizon from Ford so we could stock up in advance. Are the F7TZ-Bs blue box or red box?
  3. Really? DOESII says the F7TZ-A is still a good part #. Where did you get your info? F7TZ-B is a good # and is cheap as you say. I just saw the thread on FMCDealer's board. Update: Ford has backordered the F7TZ-A even though there is stock on hand. The F7TZ-B IS not availiable until 5/1. Notice that the engineering # for the new # is not a Navistar engineering number. The F7TZ-A was a Navistar part.
  4. Ford learn? Right. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/rolleyes.gif
  5. Early production 2004 models had a dual mass. The later production model have a solid flywheel. If a dual mass fails the part # is succeeded with a solid flywheel and bolts. I sold one today along with the clutch assembly. Dual mass flywheel 3C3Z-6477-AA is replaced by: 3C3Z-6375-BA, 3C3Z-6379-CA along with the newer style clutch.
  6. I looked under a 2008 F450 the other day and I noticed that the front rear spring hanger said " Made in China" /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/crybaby2.gif
  7. Wish we had a choice from the factory like the medium dutys get. I love a 5.9.
  8. Our shop foreman just laughed. I guess its better to laugh than cry. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif
  9. Sounds like booty fab to me. I have a friend in Pa that one and he has had a lot of problems with it. I had to catalog parts for one years ago and most of the parts back them fit 70s models.
  10. Need to add that video to the smiley list. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif
  11. I sell and service a lot of collision repair shops, fleets and installer shops. We have a a decent March so far. January and February were record months. Tax time is hear and that usually presents a slow down. All the business owners must have to pay. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/rolleyes.gif
  12. I read a article the other day somewhere that there would be no 2008 E series with diesel power. The 6.4 was too big. I would like to see Ford use a Ford built inline 6 in the E-series or a V6. That would give some engine compartment room. Heck. The 4.5 PSD would not have been a bad choice.
  13. I showed the video to our master diesel tech here and all he could do is shake his head. We are in the process of reflashing over 40 trucks. He also seemed to think that that truck had a bad injector. I was really hoping the the 6.4 launch was going to go smooth.
  14. Thanks. I have lurked from time to time. Looks this the 6.4 is gonna be a winner. I just watched the flaming video. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/eek.gif We have over 40 trucks in stock. The techs here are not excited.
  15. Did someone say parts? HERE! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif
  16. Without the Motorcraft/Donaldson AIS kit offered by Ford was one of the best upgrades I have ever made to my 7.3 I went from changing my filter once every oil change to changing it once a year. Its never showed any blockage on the moniter. I just change it once a year to be on the safe side.
  17. I sell the parts for these engines and I can't tell you the last time I had a customer call and price the parts to overhaul a 7.3. Ford is swinging the bat in the air on this.
  18. Imagine the #1 selling vehicle in the world getting 60 mpg. Big oil will hate that.
