  1. The Econoline was around long before the SD. The current E series was introduced in 1992. It still shares a lot of the same technology of the 90s F150-350.
  2. I deal with the "stealership" label every day. Most (not all) dealerships have the "hit the home run on every sale" attitude. The problem with that is it makes the rest of us that attempt to make a sale with a fair profit look like criminals. I can't tell you how many times I have seen where my parts prices were quite a bit lower than the aftermarket. I have visited a few chain independent shops that double cost on parts and then tell the customer that dealers will rip them off. They will do a job at a lower hourly rate and then pencil whip the customer on time. An they cal us "stealer."
  3. We are doing our first replacement for cracked valves today.
  4. I have a SCT tuner that I use to download a 80hp tow program written by Jody Tipton of DP-Tuner. I have been running it for three years now and I am very happy with the results. I have a 7.3 powered truck. If I owned a 6.0 or 6.4 I would not run a non-stock tune. The 7.3 is tough enough to handle it.
  5. That is the old video. I have the link for the new one in my signature line.
  6. Here is a link to the Transit van site: http://www.ford.co.uk/Commercialvehicles/Transit/Overview
  7. Here is a link to our diesel maintenance page. It has the details of the update on it. http://www.trademotion.com/pages/index.cfm?action=viewPage&siteid=213892&pageid=10651
  8. C+10% here also. I have only worked at one dealer that charged more than that.
  9. Thanks guys, I guess I am not in need of it then. I have access to the PTS site. I appreciate it. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cool.gif
  10. http://www.inford.com I don't have access. I noticed the link here on the right sidebar. What am I missing? Would access be useful to me? Thanks.
  11. I heard the USA6x6 is now out of business due to trouble with their aftermarket wheels.
  12. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cool.gif
  13. Guys I invite you to ask your customers to visit these two links on 6.0 maintenance: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lm3mOhQRqr4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=caPWc3wgTyc I also have these two videos posted on my department's home page.
  14. I would have thought they would have asked also. The more info we share on this issue the better off all will be in the future.
  15. PowerstrokeDiesel.com is out of the DVDs. I attempted to order a few to give my customers.
  16. The oil filter on the left is a Wix filter. The other on may be a Luber Finer possibly. I have not see the one on the right in the marketplace myself. There is a high resolution one on the You Tube page. Just click on the "higher resolution" button below the screen. I have made Blue Diamond aware of this being posted on You Tube. Hopefully they will post it somewhere better that can be downloaded. If that happens I will surely supply the link. Fram=Junk.
  17. Our techs are furious also. What a time waster. You get a extra .3 to make the 1/2 hr phone call. Level 1 dealers do not have to call. We are not level 1 because we work on 6.0s. We have 11 PSD techs. Getting to level 1 is impossible with the amount of work we have.
  18. IMMEDIATE ACTION REQUESTED – STOP SALE on 4C3Z-9F452-A and 5C3Z- 9F452-AA A manufacturing concern has been found in 6.0L EGR valve part numbers 4C3Z-9F452-A and 5C3Z- 9F452-AA. A design change has been initiated to correct the issue. Use of parts manufactured prior to this change could reduce customer satisfaction. HOW TO IDENTIFY PARTS TO BE RETURNED Isolate and quarantine all stock of part numbers 4C3Z-9F452-A and 5C3Z- 9F452-AA with package label date codes prior to 04/08/08. Resume selling parts with a package date code of 04/08/08 and later. See Attachment 1 for picture of label and date location. NOTE: With no part number change, dealers have requested an additional way to ensure the part is the latest design. All valves with the new design have a silver paint dot on top of the valve, in addition to a pink dot. Old style valves will only have pink dots. See Attachment 2 picture for silver dot location. Details are posted on FMCDealer.com
  19. It is from a video that I got from my Blue Diamond/Powerstroke Rep. I work at a Powerstroke Direct Dealership. I had planned on giving a few of them to my fleet customers BUT they are no longer available so I improvised and loaded it up to You Tube. I have sent links to my customers via e-mail. BTW, Kieth. The hotlinks are in yellow on this page and they are extremely hard to see on a white background.
  20. Parts people may want to educate their customers by sending them to this video I uploaded to YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lm3mOhQRqr4 Hopefully it will get their attention on using the wrong filters. Please feel free to share it.
  21. Same here. I am not the parts manager but the parts manager here at my job believes that "You can't sell from a empty wagon." We have a very knowledgeable staff and large inventory of 6.0 replacement parts. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif
  22. Me too however we do have a 98% fill rate according to Ford.
  23. Thats why there is two in my glove box now. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cool.gif
