  1. had a e350 box van towed in today ...toe truck driver just dropped it off and left ..no explinaton of what is wrong... went out to move it in to a spot and starts and runs a few minutes and then knocks and skip and dies .... finally the writer finds out whos van it is and the cust states that one of his young workers fill the tank with FIFTY gallons of gas and drove away from the fuel station.... just thought it was funny...I guess i am kinda sick like that any ways big bucks to dispose of the fuel
  2. I had one with blown head gaskets in the same spot everyone is talking about ....also had the same measurments in the same spots on the old and new heads ...did use the heads, also crossed my fingers.. how about torquing those bolts ..i am not a big guy and i thought i was going to have a heart attack when i was done with them ...
  3. any one out there do 7.3 injector sleeves in chasis, book says to pull head .....i have one that has number 1 sleeve leaking coolant in to the cylander ....seems like you can do it chasis but for any others (i.e 3,5,7) passenger bank you would have to pull head ....
  4. have a 6.0 liter with 2,4,6,8 and somtimes 1 missing... performed the balloon test wich i thought worked pretty good ...it verified the drivers bank pushing compression in to fule system ....just thought that i would pass on that a test that ford came out with worked pretty good for once
  5. thanks for the info ...i have read the 6.0 liter bible and seen that info ...i would of thought that fuel would return to tank to keep it from gelling ....in all the trucks i have had gell upit has been in the tank.... in doing some research have found a lot of the places around here (central mass) meaning fuel stations are still running the summer blend fuel because they just dont have the turn over in fuel ...so i guess the thing to do is ask before filling your truck what blend they are using
  6. question ...does any one have information on the return rate of heated fuel to the tank to heat the tank to de gell the pickup or tank.. we are having a big problem with gelling of the tank in this area this year. the heaters all appear to be working on the trucks that this happens to. i was talking tthe heavy truck guys and they tell me the trucks thay work on exchange the fuel in the tank in so many minutes of idling ??? thanks for the info
  7. i have my own laptop and internet access right at my tool box ..i feel it is a need tool in this day and age
