  1. Had a few where the tip on the pushrod became loose (poor weld jobs) if left to long noise became louder till eventually it would dislodge and rocker arm came apart.
  2. Why not try for an out of country ohip. they will cover it all. If waiting a year to get it done here will cause more damage and pain and the waiting list in the states is less i'd check into it. Just a thought.
  3. When was the last time fuel filter was changed? Had one once with code and would only come back when vehicle driven like you stole and being chased by the police. Figured that out while watching customer drive.
  4. Little late but possible the coolant has seperated and causing a build up at the t-stats
  5. I know it's an older post but removing the slave cylinder since it's external and allowing it to fully extend and slowly pushing it back in with cap of master allows air to escape usually only takes about 5 or 6 extensions and reassemble pump up a few times and good to roll
  6. I've heard the lfc are being discontinued in one breath and redesigned in another due to cab configuration.
  7. Do they pass an electrical buzz test? had one that had bad connection in the terminal at the main connector by air intake system. Replaced pins and all ok
  8. Currently working on new maxxforce7 (6.4L) with a seized turbo, leaking egr cooler and a bad set of injectors causing excessive heat in exhaust
  9. starting to see this more frequently on new vehicles mostly (low mileage) and finding water in fuel tank. once fullt cleaned out no more problems
  10. starting to see this more frequently on new vehicles mostly (low mileage) and finding water in fuel tank. once fullt cleaned out no more problems
  11. Once had an econline with no power concern, found air box previously replaced and pieces of old one in valley. When removed to inspect further found remains of a family of mice, Customer took away once found not warranty and cleaned it out, never saw again.
  12. 14 years for me, the first 7 at another dealership, only lasted 2 weeks on cars, was diesel all the way.
  13. Been seeing a lot of ficm failures lately, most have had the post buzz calibration, have 2 today with current just currious if anybody else is seeing this and thoughts as to a cause. I wonder if the post buzz or new heat inductive strategy is too hard on the FICM's
  14. We are high in our numbers as well, but customer loyalty plays a huge part of that, please one customer by being honest and up front with them, filling them in and word of mouth next thing you know you're doing jobs from people who live hundreds of miles away and only want you working on their vehicle. Seven years ago i moved 180 miles north and was surprised at how many followed. The only slow time for me is when i take time off
  15. Thanks Keith, that site shows a 7 year not a 5 year. A 7 year would be easier to sell in my opinion
  16. I recall seeing the break down off an extended warraty for 6.0 and 6.4 for a seven year 300km, Ford only shows a 5 year 300km warranty, i was wondering if i'm missing something or did they oust the 7 year one. The five year doesn't cover as much as would like to see. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
