  1. I've never really worked on one in the Ford world, that manifold is a little on the overkill side! We only have one, the rest of our fleet is internationals and a few Macks.
  2. That's what I did, it's just in a really shitty spot lol My boss said this thing has been to the dealer several times for this concern and he was told that this long crank condition was normal. I find myself wondering how much power you could squeeze out of one of these little engines for a hot rod.
  3. Got the bastard. Put air to the truck then walked away for an hour or so. Could hear hissing very faint through oil fill hole. Pulled CCV tube out of left rocker cover and could hear leak more. Yanked cover (nice spot for the cab mount) found the dummy plug that plugs the ICP sensor hole leaking, loose and the o-ring eaten away. Thanks guys! Always appreciated.
  4. 1100 for hoops for my super duty two years ago.
  5. Try another TBC module. Have seen a couple now kill the network causing no starts.
  6. I'm going to guess this is an edge evolution? Any setting higher than "2" is a transmission killer. I would try and sell your customer on a tuner that alters the TCM as well as the PCM if you're so inclined. I no way endorse or advocate this, just offering my input. My buddy's race truck is deep into the tens on a trans that is built, but not overly exotic. Tuning is everything.
  7. Would these leaks be significant enough to hear during an air test? Apparently my sensor and pigtail are due tomorrow. I was feeding air at the ICP port. As soon as I energized the IPR any air sounds stopped. Haven't worked on a lot of these little motors so sorry if these questions do not sound real smart.
  8. For $30 for the pair, I'll just change em out. Warranty cost savings I'm sure. Not sure who they had do the welding on the cooler I installed but half of the welding was done at too low of a voltage, too low of a wire speed, and the other half was done with no gas. Spatter and porosity everywhere. Sad.
  9. I saw everything in fast-forward with the benny hill theme song playing.
  10. So, it's been awhile since I did coolers on a 6.0. When did the EGR kit stop coming with intake gaskets? I'm happy I noticed this before I started the job and was able to locate a pair. What gives there? Or did I just get something boxed wrong?
  11. I air checked it when it was hot, but that isn't an absolute. Couldn't hear anything leaking. Will report after ICP and pigtail.
  12. Gravity dump. Back of the truck has a hydraulic bubble gate that lifts up and the box tilts like a dump truck. No shoveling for this lad!
  13. I had one that busted the rear cover it blew the fitting apart so bad and the branch tube was still ok.
  14. I work in a fleet shop now, fixing garbage and recycling collection trucks. They don't smell all that bad by the way lol. I like it. Well equipped, no flat rate bullshit, all you can eat overtime, good benefits and pension. We have the dedicated scan tools for everything we have - international, Mack, allison transmission, etc. (with the exception of that one LCF I posted about lol) We get tools supplied if we like, anything we wear out if we use our own tools they replace for you.
  15. Any knows on this? It's an 07 with about 55k miles on it. I have no codes, no high side oil leaks, good low side supply. I've found a leaking ICP sensor and have it and the pigtail ordered. I'm using international service maxx as the diagnostic interface. The only thing I noticed a little out of the ordinary is ICP builds to about 1100 psi, but it's jerky. I'm not sure I'd that's just the refresh rate of the scan tool or it's actually surging as ICP builds. Otherwise truck runs fine, and there's no difference between hot and cold and no other issues just the extended crank. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks!
  16. "does it have a trailer hitch" Really? I mean fckin REALLY? It's a super duty. Pretty sure that would be standard equipment brotha.
  17. I was doing 6.4 rads in under an hour when I was doing lots of them Watched a guy at the Indy shop I was at take a whole 12 hour shift to change one.
  18. They widened the failure parameters from what I understand. The over pressure was by about 200 psi I've been told by a guy who was a part of developing the solution. I got a pump under 5/100 for the p0088.
  19. Having seen this guy's garage and house all I can say is wow.
  20. Jim. As long as its the last of the elk meat.
  21. Workin and movin about. Fix garbage and recycling trucks now. Good gig. Message me your number mike.

  23. You're welcome. Being as how I'm in a waaaay different time zone the liquor store is already open here! Babysitting the little guy necessitates it. Will email you some pictures of the new puppy.
  24. I work in a fleet garage now, maintaining and repairing garbage/recycling collection trucks. Good pace, nice bunch of guys, all you can eat overtime. Oh yeah, no flat rate either. Lol. Pension, benefits, all that stuff.
  25. After spending the last two hours trying to get a fourteen week old puppy to sleep, I read this and bust out laughing. Dog's awake now, due to the screwdriver through the cooling stack comment. Lmao.
