  1. if the piston is not melted, I would not think the injector was held open
  2. My fixed operations manager just returned from his annual Powerstroke meeting. apparently the 650/750 has found a new home....in OHIO. retooling the Econoline plant and will be building F650/750's stateside. I think Ford told Blue diamond to fuck off, but I am unsure of the truth in that. Talk of a gasoline powerplant, a v8 diesel powerplant and of course, the Cummins engine. just thought I would throw that out there.
  3. let me show my age.....did the same thing with a 7/32nds for TFI-IV ignition modules. oh those were the days
  4. ok.........so I find a violet and brown wire in pin 9. NOT I had to open the harness, remove the plug in the PCM connector and install my own wire. It did work like a champ when I got it hardwired and in place. I guess Ford did not include that setup in this particular harness. all the PTO/SEIC wiring were empty cavities. Thanks for all the input fellas Gary
  5. 17.7 hours? sounds more like a 40.7 hour repair to me
  6. 6.0L quigley conversion for the SCE&G (electric company)looking for info on an RPM controller. I know the vehicle has bodybuilder tape outs but cannot find anyone who knows anything about them. all I need it to do is raise the RPM to 1200 so the fiber optic repair guys can use their equipement in the back. I can't seem to locate anything. any help would be appreciated.
  7. just thought I would throw out something I found extremely useful. I work at a Ford store and we came up with a really neat tool. We have the old ROTUNDA EVAP tester sitting in the corner growing dust. We took and replaced the line with 500 PSI line, then plumbed in some snap air fittings and then we dump 400-500 psi to the oil rails. It WILL show you a leak. has worked flawless for the past 4 or so years and nitrogen is pretty cheap.
  8. WOW!! thats nice!! well, I tried my hand at contracting overseas.....Money was good, but not worth being away from my family, So....I returned to my old job at the Dealership and couldn't be happier. so what do I do with "My time?" well, in the 8 months I was away, my wife has redone damn near everything in the house, so my "honey-do" list is quite large. I have discovered the pleasures of a water garden and will be farting around in the backyard with that for the next dozen weekends. finishing up a huge addition to the deck this weekend so out door work is really what I have been focussing on. It sure beats a rocket attack at 4 in the morning by far...... Gary
  9. and I thought being on the other side of the planet being shot at was bad
  10. can ya hook a brother up over here in asscrackistan?
  11. WOW!!! All I ever see on the roads back home are Econolines...That is gonna be alot of money Ford won't make. Gary
  12. Why not check the radiator for flow?
  13. I was in the service drive one day and the complaint was no power, started it up, yep no power, went to move it out of the drive. a Loud "BOOM" and a cloud of smoke that blocked out the sun ensued. I thought the damn truck was on fire. the bellows in that one blew out like an expanded soda can before it blew apart. Problem with that one was it only idles in the Alcoa yard and never gets road speeds up. and of course the driver could care less about a DPF/MIL/SEN light. 3000+hours on the engine, 1200 miles on the odometer.
