I have read some stupid shit over there, but this takes the cake: This thread was started by Mr Boone asking for any advise on doing a manual compression test on an Econoline equipped with a 6.0L

(773)  721-1994 I usually do manual compression on engine stand with starter bolted up and using jumper pack, but thats after I suspect major failure to justify pulling engine

(806)  797-3441 Glow plug harness stuck as usual. I've decided just to pull the thing and bolt the starter up and do it on a stand. Engine is gonna have to come out anyways most likely so might as well just pull it anyways. Thanks guys.

I've done it. You can get at a few cylinders if you put it on a hoist and relax the suspension - go through the wheel wells. Drop motor mounts and tilt the engine over if you need access to others. Either way, poor bastard.
