Those barrel shaped things are probably diodes. The box upfitters bring a/c clutch signal from the box to turn on the clutch whether the head unit requests a/c or not. I have seen those diodes go bad before.

Besides the ford pressure tester tool, what does everyone use to check fuel pressure on a 6.0? Changed shops and need to get one. I havent used anything but the Ford tool.

I had one on a 6.0 E van once that was blowed out.

Is there a way to tell the difference between a 15 and 17 degree pump on the outside other than output line fittings? Got a truck superduty that has an obs engine with AA's in it need to know if I can id the HPOP before I quote a set of AD's for it.

How many miles you got on that unit now? Thinking about trying it in my 4R100, it's got 300,000 mi on it i'm gonna pull it apart come summer anyways.

I would say maybe a chassis cab that doesn't get worked hard enough to get the exhaust hot might do that as well.

14psi is not enough oil pressure to keep the VCT system happy. 15 psi is min book spec. Good ones i've seen will have 30 @ hot idle. I call that 5.4 death rattle. It's engine time.

Last 8.8 clutch pack I did was that way. Had carbon fiber clutches also.

Have they kept up with the PH level of the coolant though? How many miles on the unit? Just thinking out loud here.
