the_twig_187
I have repaired 4 vehicles all built with the model year 2015 for right front axle u-joint failure. 3 trucks were snow plows but the latest one is not. all the vehicles have approx. 30,000km and the u-joint has blown apart. This one has also taken out the wheel bearing and the hub actuator. Has anyone else has issues with 2015 F-series doing this?
Chase
850 foot pounds of torque and a heavy right foot on pavement could cause that.
Keith Browning
Any grease in them or on the fitting? I have realized for some time that greasing front-end components (for trucks that still have them) is frequently overlooked. If I am not mistaken, they ALL have u-joint fittings though. Matt Saunoras
Yes they definitely all have fittings if they weren't already replaced with a non-serviceable joint. I grease almost every truck that comes in here.
8WA Sman
Too much grease in the grease gun
Alex Bruene
I was going to suggest the lack of grease, but that one certainly looks like it's been well lubed.

the_twig_187
the truck is bone stock and has whooping 17,000 km on it and was built in december of 2014
Aaron
Full lock steering turns at high torque will do this. Typically see it on 2011+ trucks or anything that's turned way up in the horsepower department.
