lmorris Posted January 13, 2017 Share Posted January 13, 2017 IDS 104 will have changes to the VCM II Firmware (Loaded Code) that may affect laptops used in your dealerships. Microsoft XP will not function with the new Firmware in IDS 104 and will not be supported through the TIS Hotline. Laptop minimum specifications are still Microsoft Operating Systems, 4 Gigabytes of RAM, Intel I5 core processors with 2.0 GHz processing speed. For future diagnostic applications, 8 gigabytes of RAM and SSDs (Solid State Drives) are highly recommended. I just might finally get that gaming laptop I've always wanted....just to run IDS..
