  1. You are not the only one.I, myself had to respond back to hotline in CAPS letter so they can understand what I typed in first place.Anyway, how in the world can we identify paint marking on engine block when the vehicle is more than 10 years old and rusted! Show me one engine block that is over 10 years old has original paint job on engine block, especially in northeast of USA!
  2. don't quote me on that, I think it has something to do with bleed hole / check ball location. It's been awhile since I check it.
  3. No, it is not glow plug system, but the wiring is hacked by previous tech. This customer is one of the fleet owner and owned over 200 Ford F series trucks. I cannot treat his vehicle like garbage, I just want to make it right.Anyway, hard starting when cold and hot, unfortunately I cannot duplicated it.....:sigh:
  4. Motor runs rough ever since complete motor was recently replaced few weeks ago by former technician. I replaced injector pump few days ago for stuck / sticking throttle. Pump is timed correctly. I know it is not misfiring, this thing runs like a raped ape but very rough idle, enough to shake your gold fillings off your teeth. I compared to other IDI diesel and it runs super smooth.I do not see any weight or signs of missing balancing weight but I do know for fact that 7.3 turbo diesel do have weight on flexplate. Should there be balancing weight(s) on flexplate? .....it is E4OD transmission.
  5. Part number is F2TZ-9A451-AI need it badly, former tech hacked it up badly when installing REMAN motor few weeks ago, now I am stuck with this job.Hard starting hot or cold!
  6. Anybody here know where I can get 1994 Ford F Super Duty 7.3 glow plug harness?Discontinued from Ford
  7. There is no TCM, just PCM. I will look at PCM tomorrow. Thanks
  8. 2014 F350 with 6.2 engine, second time in less than 3 weeks TFT sensor failed.I did a Pinpoint test B, TFT sensor resistance reads open.Removed trans pan, check resistance at the sensor, same result.Anybody come across with repeat TFT sensor failure?
  9. one more thing.....the statement about emergency cable......you need to add this "after disconnecting the union, released the cable slowly "
  10. check for air bubble at one of fuel cooler line. There is tool for checking air bubbles, go look at shop manual.( I am home now, dinner is coming up, don't have the time to give you tool number, maybe later )
  11. does sound like air bubbles in fuel system. did you check for air bubbles?
  12. Does anybody know the actual measurement / ingredients differences between SP and LV or others?Example.....2 cycle fuel mix.differences between 40:1 and 50:1 ratio is less than teaspoon. My chain saw requires 50:1, my old weed trimmer requires 40:1. Instead of having two fuel cans for each specific fuel / oil mix, I use one fuel can of 50:1 mix. My weed trimmer still working like new and does not smokes. That being said I did add Mercon 5 fluid to torq shift trans when the trans cooler lines blew out from rust, this got me stranded in middle of no where. To this day I have not change the fluid yet.
  13. Few times I removed the connector on used injector before sending them back to parts dept.Just in case I need connector, I got few laying around.
  14. Nowadays I used anti-seized on every exhaust stuff, like clamps, bolts, studs, etc,etc
  15. Where can I get DEF nozzle?I saw diagram on back of Ford DEF container and I would like to have one for myself only.My parts department are no help.I don't like using funnel because ..................#1= funnels always get dirty.#2= funnels always disappeared.#3= cannot filled DEF tank completely.
  16. seriously, I have reused fuel injector lines few times. No leaks, I just tighten them real good.Unfortunately, I would not reused copper washers, they do leaks on me.To this date, I never understand why we cannot reused lines, motor mount bolts, plus other hardware.
  17. speaking of IDI diesel here.I have similar issue here. The lever on injector pump stuck between 1/2 throttle and wide open throttle...Does this means pump is defective? ...it is reman pump, comes with reman engine that we install three weeks ago.
  18. check the rear suspension. broken leaf spring, loose u bolts, crack / broken shackles, worn or missing bushing or boken leaf spring center pin / bolt.
  19. New Exploder......don't walk........Run away fast.Too many recalls, too many issue.
  20. I use air chisel with long chisel bit.Don't break the nut or stud, just aim on the flat side of nut (counter clock wise), give a quick / light jab, and then use ratchet or wrench of your choice. It will come off easily.
  21. That is first thing I check. No, oil level is good.It is confirm rough idle, Reset pump timing made a differences....it is certainly pain in the butt to do the pump timing but it pays off.
  22. I'll send few of ours to your way.....what is your addy? LOL
  23. yes, new pump, came with motor.
  24. 1994 F-Super Duty..7.3 IDI non turbo.Customer got the dough, said go ahead replaced the motor. Original motor runs but knocks badly.Complete motor was installed today. Starts, runs and has decent power but I notice rough idle, does not feel like misfiring, I cracked loose injector lines one by one, all of them made differences. This ruled out bad injectors. IThen, check the flexplate for missing weight, I did not find any weight on flexplate, is that normal? From my experiences I know 7.3 Powerstroke had weight spot welded to flexplate but not on this non turbo 7.3 IDI. If no weight on flexplate is normal then what can cause rough idle? I only can do basic checks and past knowledge ( If I can remember ), we have no diagnosis equipment is available for this old dinosaur.
  25. yes, fuel manifold was replaced. fuel system is flushed. Base on data logging PIDs, Fuel Mass for cylinder 4 if off, techline advise me to replaced #4 injector again. Problem is fixed. Customer is happy.
