  1. I don't know in and F150 haven't ever taken the engine out this way, but if they all come off this easy I might start to. In superdutys though I can just barely squeeze the engine and tranny assy out with the adapter plate and a custom made chain by myself. And a helper is nice also.
  2. Is there vacuum in the fuel tank when this happens? Check to see if tank is sucking in or for vacuum released when you open the fuel cap.
  3. Well I got to do my first 2015 f150 cab off a couple weeks ago. While there is no procedure in the workshop manual it was actually amazingly easy.I had to replace the firewall and tranny tunnel heat shields for rodent damage. Then about a week later I got to do another one. One thing I noticed is that they got rid of the MAF sensor and went with a MAP sensor only now. Oh and the MAP sensor is not exactly easily accessible.I'm pointing to the MAP sensor in the one pic.
  4. You probably have the higher nickel content flex plate.
  5. I had a blocked ebp tube kick my ass in the same way.
  6. If I had a leaky 6.7L, I'd look into a new Mishimoto myself. www.mishimoto.com/ford-6-7l-powerstroke-aluminum-radiator-11.html
  7. first row mount is a 7C3Z-1000154-BA second row mount is 7C3Z-1000154-AA third row mount (on crew cab) 73CZ-1000154-A last row mount 7C3Z-1000154-LA THESE PART NUMBERS MAY UPDATE OR CROSSOVER TO OTHERS
  8. I noticed the little dot that comes on the new one is in the same place as where the reman hole is.
  9. Maybe I'm misinterpreting this but looks like the Transits aren't able to be sold to schools to transport children. If that's the case why wouldn't you make this vehicle meet those requirements, seems like a lot of business to miss out on. EFC04199.pdf
  10. Wow that van looks amazing!!! What's the story on the corvette on the wall?
  11. I had a 1.6L with spark knock on on a very loaded accel(up a steep hill in OD). Ended up needing an engine due to low compression on cylinder 1, same cylinder that showed spark knock. Had engineer from 1.6l design team contacting me asking if the block was cracked between cylinders, but didn't see anything. Sounds like we might have another 3v 5.4l on our hands, just on a much larger scale.
  12. I usually have the opposite problem. "that's $8k for your engine in your f150 sir", customer says "can you have it done by 3 tomorrow?"
  13. Also ask for the labor op for them wasting your time.
  14. Sounds like it makes sense. So, my dealership won't be using it.
  15. Just another reason to cut labor times in the near future.
  16. I wondered when they were going to get around to it.
  17. Ya, well I'm sick of being robbed blind by Ford. The labor times are pretty much just a straight raping anymore. Very seldom do I find myself on the right end of that stick.
  18. My dealership just got pulled into a warranty audit and in the review of what we did wrong they said some of the ROs they pulled had TSBs performed for codes that weren't present in the vehicle? How do they know this you wonder? Come to find out that they can pull the IDS log on any vehicle by the VIN from a database they keep. So just thought you guys might want to know this. I know I found it to be very enlightening. I kind of wondered when this day would come. Oh and the audit ended up costing us about $60k in what they caught. A lot of this was fraudulent practices by management having non certified techs doing repairs and then putting a certified techs number on it to run it through, the rest was piddly shit like "excessive clock times"? or "under clock times"(I thought we were commission so why do clock times matter), "miles out" and "applicable TSBs that were not used". As usual it's always the techs fault and management can do no wrong. Personally I think we got off light. The way this place is run you'd think everything was warrantable.
