  1. We were buying a lot of 05ish mustangs at the dealer I was at from the USA. We'd put in a hotline contact and they would send us revised as built data with DRL enabled as long as you sent them the RIV number, as the option wasn't "enable disable" in IDS like some models are. I think it's done that way with a toggle now. As opposed to having to totally reconfigure the module.
  2. Wow, that's nuts. What about units sold in Canada? Or are they having to generate new asbuilt like they did at first with the new body style mustangs?
  3. I put like 12.5 in mine so I cab make sure it's not growing oil.
  4. Customer needed relay. Radio wouldn't work. That one seemed to be ok to use.
  5. You want it to really shine use the stock spring but flip the accumulator piston, and drill the feed hole .125 Make sure you put a good band and servo in it. Lol.
  6. 1-2 accumulator spring should be the stock purple one and the 1-2 feed hole drilled .083 if I remember correctly. Will provide a nice positive shift without it being ignorant.
  7. I think "you'll need 8 injectors and a regulator to fix the low fuel pressure" would go over like a fart in church.
  8. That's horse shit. There's Canadian vehicles that would have had to have DRL on em.
  9. Contact hotline with RIV number and say you need modified as built to turn DRL on.
  10. I would start unhooking modules one at a time to see which one is killing the network.

Has arrived. There's like 18" of it here so far.
  13. ^^What he said. And if you happen to have your fingers in the mechanism or near it when this event occurs... You're going to need your wife to open your ketchup bottles for the rest of your days lol.
  14. I asked this question of someone, in the know, but I forget who. The reaction time is not quick enough, and the stepper motor may not be strong enough to close the flap in the event of a runaway. Once it fucks off, you aren't closing that butterfly. You ever seen one of those positive air shut offs slam shut? It happens in a HURRY.
  15. Approximately 70 psi of back pressure generated with BD’s Variable Vane Exhaust Brake. Just about enough to force the exhaust valves open. Don't worry. The piston will close them for you.
  16. 9,000 kg would be an F-550... As far as door sticker, I do believe it's registered weight, not GVWR for the yellow sticker requirements... You can register your vehicle at a weight below GVWR, but don't get caught above your registered weight if you try that!I asked that. It is by the sticker in the door, regardless of registered weight.
  17. Just got off the phone with MTO. 9000kg in our circular brown book is the limit for the S license on a safety. ANYTHING over 4500kg in the door sticker needs yellow sticker.
  18. By the legislation, your truck with a manufacturers GVWR of 4536kg, requires a yellow sticker. Further compounding this? If you don't have a T license you can't safety it. I'm all for annual inspections but this is bordering on lunacy. Can't get a straight answer from anyone at the MTO either. My loophole? "PRIVATE CARRIER NOT FOR HIRE" in back window.
  19. So you have your truck at 3000kg on the ownership? I can't scale it any less than 4000. Truck weighs 3790kg without anyone in it.
  20. I just pictured the parts guy grabbing it and going "my precioussssss"Lmfao
  21. I was comparing to like units at like temperatures. Even going so far as to command all the air management PIDS the same (VGT, EGR, etc) and swapping air filters.
  22. Here's a question. Annual inspections are required for the following, and I quote: Trucks, trailers and converter dollies alone or in combination with a total gross weight, registered gross weight or manufacturer’s gross vehicle weight rating exceeding 4,500 kilograms (kg), So, with the use of the term "OR" in there, does that automatically push my truck (11,400lb/5175kg GVWR) into that category? Even though the ownership licenses it at 4000kg? What I'm asking, is do I need a commercial safety on my f350 which is used primarily for personal transportation? (No, I do not have the red sticker denoting this on my front plate as eligibility for that ends at 3000kg RGW) Mike Chan? What's your GVWR in the door, are you sporting a yellow sticker?
