  1. Just got one in the shop for this recall, needs all the injectors, lines, ect.... Anyone tips or advice?
  2. yea tuner is hooked up, still no crank. don't know how to diag a tuner, how do I jumper the sensors to get it in the shop? thanks
  3. have a 2011 6.7 with exhaust delete. shut down while driving and is a no crank, no start with exhaust gas temp codes. if I let it sit it will start and run for about 10 sec then shut down and say stop vehicle safely. no exhaust sensors, connectors just taped to keep debris out. any ideas on how to diag, fix this? thanks Rob

  6. Hi I'm trying to find the part number for the uvc harness clip that is used to add tension to the harness retainer. I remember they came in a packet of three, my parts dept found clip 1c3z-14a163-aa but that is for outside the valve cover and I need the ones for under the valve cover Thanks Rob
  7. Just finished one t/c nuts suck, what happens if you drop a nut in the bellhousing installing them? Took 29hrs but also had some wiring and pcm pins bent, auction truck. Work on a drive on rack so cna't pull cabs. It actually went together faster than coming apart. I did have problems with glow plug conectors on the glow plug side not making conection but pulled on the wire to get out.
  8. Same thing here, like stated above be carefull with the cam sensor one. If it is not secure looks like it could rub on the belt.
  9. I read somewhere online that a large power inverter (12v dc to 120 ac) can cause this but don't remember the source.
  10. Let me try this again, replaced egr valve, today i pulled the ebp tube and it is clean along with the fitting being clean. Sensor also clean. Wish i had a vgt test

  13. have a 06 e350, had plugged cat, stuck turbo and plugged eqr valve. Replaced cat, cleaned turbo with new unision ring. Now while cruising has a surge, cannot feel it or see rpm change but can hear turbo spooling up and down while driving. Passes all tests, can see ep graph going up and down while surging, any ideas?
  14. Have first 6.7 in bay now. Codes P012f, p0133, p164a, p2a00 koeo, passes koer. p012f and p0133 ppt states diag other codes first, ssm to 21690 states under investigation. So do i disregard p012f and p0133 too. will contact hotline

I have a truck that is a crank-no start, no communication with ids, no power to fuse 71 bjb (i think that is the fuse), i applied power to the empty fuse holder next to is and will start and run, will not shut of with key, have to remove power to applied ckt. The relay that provides power to that ckt, with power applied to relay termanal 87 will not provide power (has an open)to that ckt. I removed the drivers fender well, stripped the insulation from the large gray/brown wire and applied voltage,vehicle started. there is a splice by the driver core support by T/O going to C131, tested and is ok. By the wiring diagrams I assume there is an open in the BJB, ordered and will install when comes in. What i am trying to say is check for B+ @ BJB f71 and see if there is B+ KOEO, if not apply B+ to fuse f71, if starts at least you can drive it in. I don"t know if im on the right track or if this helps but this is what helped me get the truck running. now the mistery, yea if i power up f21 and it starts and test for and open from between run relay spade 87 and large gray and brown and get OL on the meter, seems like an open-right,but when i test to 85 & 86 i get no B+ to either, but I have an open between 87 and gray/brown wire? Hope this helps

I have recieved a few tips in the past, ill tell the customer "thank you but i cant accept" once but if they offer again ill take it, not looking at it and pocketing it. after that ill split it with a porter and have their car washed. I have however seen customers give advisors tip to give to techs and the techs never get it, but id rather not get tips thinking the customers will expect to be put in front of other customers next time.
  22. I think we all have "friends" that only call when their vehicles are need work. I have a cousin that called a couple of weeks ago wanting me to come over and drink, i havent talk to him in years because every time i did i ended up fixing his car for free in promise to work on my house, he never returned his side of the bargin. So I got to his house and drank for a couple hours and then it came, his car wont start and can i look at it, buy the way he said he had no $ though. I looked at it, fuel pump, and said when he puts a new roof vent on my house ill fix it, haven't heard from him yet
