  3. Diesel Certified Technicians-- It has been three weeks since I told you your jackets would be on their way shortly. It seems that, although we received the jackets and were checking them in, the actual process of shipping them out is just getting under way now. We had some miscommunication, and I thought the shipments were starting weeks ago, but I was wrong. I really, really apologize for this extra long delay, on top of the backorder. If it's cold in your state, like it is here in Michigan, hold out for just a few more weeks. The guys who have received their jackets say they really like them, so I'm hoping we will deliver a product that was worth the wait! When your jacket ships, you will get an e-mail that contains the UPS tracking number. Enjoy your Thanksgiving. Here at Ford Motor Company, one thing we will certainly be giving thanks for is our Diesel Certified Technicians.
  4. 3 trucks, 1 F-550 set of cylinder heads, cooling system fuul of fuel. 2 F-650's ambulances with electrical concerns and one of them needs a set of injectors according to Cummins.
  5. The last 6-8 sets i've done have paid about 14.0 hours 250-650's
  6. With the high mileage 7.3 that I delt with that had coolant lose but no signs of leaks almost always the problem cylinder was on the right side. After removing the pistons I would fine small pin holes/cavitation on the outside or coolant side of the cylinder
  7. I had a customer that retired from pulling hot shots and his 99 F-350 dually had over 750,000 miles on it the last time I serviced it. I also have a E-350 expiditer with over 250,000 on it.
  8. check your master cylinder push rod adjustment. I had the same thing a yaer ago, truck was at many different shops and all had put new master cylinders on. Checked and adjusted push rod and all was like new again. Push rod adjustment spec in WSM
  9. I give it a little rap from my air hammer and they jump off.
  10. I have one for the International guys, 4700 with an ambulance package. A/C does not get cold, gets cool. This has vacuum operated water valves, I have International service manuals and there EVTM for the A/C system. There is nothing in the manuals about the water Valves. There is no power to the switching valve, when I apply power to it the water valves work and the temp drops another 12 degrees. Can any one tell me where the vacuum switch gets it's power? Thanks
  11. I do know that there is a difference in speed rated calibrations for 6.0l F250-F350's VS. F450-F550. The difference is about 15 MPH. I found this out first hand when our parts dept. ordered a F550 PCM for a F350. The customer brought the truck back the next week asking what I did to his top end speed.
  12. Our first 6.4 came in 2/1, Check engine light on and sticker shock $50,000. They don't last for ever.
  13. Just seen yhat the 6.4l coffee table book is now available on the PTS Technician Update page. Good reading!!
  14. Just finished a early built 04 H/P pump intake manifold needed to be removed. The late build 04's do not require removing the intake.
  15. About 90% of my work is warranty and I do 99% of the medium class work bumper to bumper.
